Summary

• In Canto 15, Dante is in the third ring of the seventh circle.

• The area that Dante and Virgil are in is very hot and fuming with heat. There is also a thick fog hovering around that are too.

• Dante sees and talks to a poet named Brunetto Latinni. Hea grabs Dante by the hem of his clothes and yells to get his attention

• Dante meets a poet named Brunetto. He was alive before Dante was and Brunetto influenced some of Dante’s thinking. Brunetto had been sent to hell because of his sin of against nature.

• This was also called sodomy. This sin included any and all homosexual acts and any sexual activities involving animals.

• Dante and Brunetto Latinni talk for awhile. Out of respect for Brunnetto, Dante walks and talks with his head down. They cannot stop walking because Brunetto tells them that one moment of rest will get him burned by the down pouring flames. Brunetto also ask Dante to write about him and remember his name.
