Sessions Abtracts
Tracks description
We live in a digital world, where technology is changing our experiences and disrupting businesse every day.
Businesses of any size can turn an idea today into a new service or a better experience for their customers tomorrow. This is the New Style of Business.
At HPE, we see the customer's journey to the New Style of Business through four Transformation Areas. They can help IT transform into a value creator, helping
contain costs by running their traditional IT efficiently, while creating the outcomes your customer wants for their business.
Infrastructure for the New Style of Business
Converged Systems: Experience the simplicity, efficiency, and reliability of HP Converged Systems. Whether you are moving to virtualization and cloud, need to gain control of IT sprawl and big data, or need to quickly deploy new workloads, HPE Converged Systems are integrated solutions designed for convergence and optimized for specific workloads. Learn more about HPE Converged Systems and how HP expertise and experience can quickly help you accelerate your IT.
Hybrid-IT : Cloud computing is fundamentally changing the way people live, work and access technologies, exposing IT departments limits around people, pro-cesses and technology. By leveraging Hybrid-IT related technologies like cloud, automation and advanced infrastructure management tools, IT can dramatically improve the speed of innovation, enhance business agility and lower costs, allowing IT to regain credibility with the business and be seen as a true partner and enabler. In order to succeed in this transition, IT must become both a builder and broker of services, sourcing services from traditional sources, as well as from private and public clouds. HPe’s Hybrid-IT approach delivers enterprises with the essential foundation of technologies and services to confidently build, operate and consume cloud services across private, managed and public clouds. Learn how HPe can help you to adopt Hybrid-IT based cloud to transform your custom-ers’ business.
Networking: HPE Aruba has changed the balance of power in the networking industry with the FlexNetwork architecture, a converged network, server, storage, and security fabric based on open standards that delivers up to twice the industry-leading performance and reduces total cost of ownership by up to 60%. HPE continues to pioneer advances
HPE TSS 2016 Cannes, France 1-5 February
in networking technology by developing solutions, products, and services to better serve our customers and help them meet their changing business needs. In the Networking track, you will learn more about the FlexNetwork architecture and the innovations HP continues to make to simplify networking, virtualization, and cloud connectivity.
Servers: This track includes rack and tower HPE ProLiant servers as well as covers server software partners and the server options business, Integrity NonStop systems, Integrity servers, HP-UX and OpenVMS operating environments, all blades infrastructure and x86/MCx86 blades, Virtual Connect and our portfolio of high-end Xeon-EX servers, the HP Moonshot portfolio, x86-based hyperscale servers, Performance-Optimized Datacenters (PODs), and solutions for high-performance computing.
Open Source: New this year at TSS, the "Open Source" track. From a pure Linux play OpenSource is now a model that is largely adopted not only by users, but also by corporations that are becoming big contributors to OpenSource software Linux, OpenStack, Hadoop, In this track you will heard about the latest information and development that HPE is doing on the OpenSource domain.
Storage: Converged infrastructure is changing the way people buy and deploy storage. Not only is storage an increasingly important component of future data cen-ters, HP is also offering a new approach to run storage. Regardless of whether you have virtualized your infrastructure, whether you have just started your journey to the cloud or run your environment the traditional way, your approach to deploying, managing, and provisioning storage needs to radically change in order to increase the efficiency and agility of your IT infrastructure. Learn how HP storage offers you unique benefits to make your converged infrastructure a reality.
Technology Services: Support services are much more than break/fix. Support services help you navigate this ever increasing complexity of IT solutions without accidents and with a strong focus on getting it right and keeping it right. Support services also help to avoid downtime rather than dealing with “IT” after it happens, especially for business critical IT. Join this track to learn how our support consultants (from support engineers to business critical consultants) bring to you proven best practices, trusted advice, strong customer relationships and a breadth of technical expertise to complement your IT staff where ever needed. Learn what it takes to start or accelerate your transformation journey. Our HP Consulting experts, connect your business needs with IT strategy, can transform your IT to deliver real-time services and generate IT-enabled business growth. The track offers plenty of opportunities to discuss with our experts your cloud journey and hybrid de-livery options embedded within your IT consolidation, migration, and virtualization strategies for energy efficiency solutions in the DC. The sessions span DC Facil-ity, IT Platform and Storage Transformation and Migration topics and with HP Packaged Consulting Services we offer an easy approach that delivers rapid results with predictable costs.

DCN solution in a
Cloud Architecture
Solution Master One of the main expectations from Cloud is increased agility to meet business
goals. Cloud offers a transformation to flexibility, hybrid-delivery, cost-efficient
business and automation, while security and compliance are must to have
requirements in the cloud journey.
The network many times an inhibitor of the Cloud adoption. Typically,
datacenter networks are dominated by legacy or brownfield environments and
are managed in silos. Security relies on manual configuration on networking
equipment and application specific data is re-engineered to flow through
security devices. Also, connectivity with the public network is many times the
limiting factor to implement secure access, multi-datacenter or hybrid cloud
solutions, constraining VM mobility and disaster recovery.
The adoption of a virtualized, software-defined network model is the response
to overcome many of these challenges. But SDN is not sufficient: the Cloud
needs to be sustained by Advanced SDN solutions supporting the
transformation to hybrid models and ensure compliancy.
This session describes HP Distributed Cloud Networking as the Advanced
SDN solution for the Cloud, offering:
• No network boundaries
• Network delivered at Cloud speed
• Cost effective operations and full network automation
• Scalability and hybrid delivery
• Security and compliance enforcement
• Mobility and enhanced access to Cloud applications

Using storage TCO

opportunities
Solution Awareness When asked most customers don’t actually know how much written data they
have!! They may well be able to tell you the raw capacity they have installed,
they may even know the amount of available, or useable to hosts. The
amount of actual written data remains a mystery. This is strange because to
the end user, his written data is all he is concerned about! By demonstrating
how HP 3Par can enable a customer to effectively store 5 x the written data
on the same raw capacity we can display a fantastic advantage in terms of
the of storing the data. The total cost of keeping data must also include its
longer retention and recovery. We will also show how the use of RMC can
achieve similar total cost savings for the back-up and restore of their virtual
and file data. This session will overview how using 3Par and storage TCO
