tional and international community. We hope to use this platform to inspire smiles and ignite laughter.
A message from Miss Laz...
Dear families,
We have had another positive and successful week at Laycock, our children are settling in to our temporary ‘new normal’ and we have had so much feedback from you about how current provision– thank you. This week is exciting: we have
Year 6 transition zoom meetings and class zoom parties– make sure you don’t miss out!
A main part of the week has been dedicated to reflect on the current events and demonstrations following the news in America. We as a school and a community strive to address, challenge and smash all stereotypes, inequality and discrimination, including racism. Our teachers have been
delivering lessons, facilitating discussions and educating our children about Windrush where we celebrated this vital chapter in our History.
I hope that you all continue to make good decisions and stay safe.
Information is being drafted to inform you of
our summer and September plans, they will be shared with you as soon as we have the approval from the Local
Authority.
Please can we all thank and congratulate Miss Clark who has temporarily taken on the Laycock
Smiler for me. She has done a fantastic job and I am sure you will all join in me in saying how much
we have enjoyed her positive cheer!
How you can help?
If you see or do anything that might spread some cheer, email it to Miss Laz at
