◆ This is the primary port for Catalina Classics Camps and Charters.

◆ The Queen Mary terminal CIMI

◆ Provide Meds to chaperones (if appl)

◆ Be Early

The Ferry, aka “The Boat”

◆ The boat leaves Friday Morning--Get to the pier early!!!!

◆ The boat ride is fun, But it is a boat ride.

◆ If you tend to get Sea sick, try to stay outside, eyes on the horizon.

◆ Take your medicine before we depart – night before

◆ Sometimes saltine crackers to nibble on helps.

◆ There is a small galley on board with expensive drinks, candy, hot dogs, pop corn. Not great.

◆ 7:30-Breakfast

◆ 8:15-Housekeeping

◆ 9:00-Morning Activity

◆ 12:30-Lunch

◆ 1:00-Open Recreation

◆ 1:30-Afternoon Activity

◆ 5:30-Dinner

◆ 7:00-Evening Program

◆ 9:30-Sleep

Each meal one group will be selected to set up a meal and clean up after the meal.

It is simple stuff like set up chairs, get water pitchers, and sweep up the floor after.

◆ Breakfasts: Scrambled Eggs, Turkey Sausage Patty, Bagel & Cream CheeseFresh Fruit & Cereal Bar, Cinnamon French Toast

◆ Lunches: Hamburgers or Vegetarian Burgers, French Fries, Fresh Salad Bar, Turkey & Cheese Sandwich on Croissant, Chips, Granola Bar, Cookie, Capri Sun

Dorm Life

◆ Sleeping bag, sheets and a pillow (Large Plastic Trash Bag)

◆ Jeans or long pants, Shorts(2-3), T-shirts(2-3), Swimming suit x2 [One piece] (plastic bag), Underwear(3-4), Socks(3-4), Sweatshirt or warm jacket, PJs

◆ Closed-toed shoes, Flip-flops or sandals ◆ Sunscreen, Water bottle, Small backpack ◆ Beach and bath towel ◆ Personal toiletries, hat, sunglasses (cheap) ◆ Flashlight/Head light◆ Canteen/ water bottle

walk from the dock to the dorm

◆ iPods and other mp3 players

◆ Cell phones, Alcohol, tobacco, fireworks, Lighters

◆ Gameboys, PSPs and other personal games

◆ Skim boards, Surf boards, Spear guns

◆ Expensive jewelry, knives, Gerber tool

Safety

◆ Pharmacy and a hospital in Avalon(6 miles)

◆ Baywatch and Life-Flight transport.

◆ CIMI Instructors: first-aid, CPR, certified life guards

◆ Activities: life preservers available

Misc.

◆ Duffle Bag/Day Pack (No hard Luggage)

◆ YELLOW is our color for bags.

◆ Name Tag on Bags, Max of 2 bags

◆ Student will need to carry own gear

◆ Money for CIMI Sweatshirt/hat etc.

◆ RED shirts for first day would be nice.
