M S Ramaiah Advanced Learning Center

Cadaveric training in India is at a backstage unlike

developed countries. Surgical training must and

should include hands on cadaver sessions on a

regular basis.

This can reduce the steepness of the learning curve

and will help develop surgical skills for the benefit of

the patient and the community.

After an overwhelming response to the cadaveric

arthroplasty/arthroscopic courses at the state of the

art MSR advanced training centre we are pleased

to announce the first cadaveric hand work shop.

Cadaveric hand course is designed to introduce

basic training in management of hand problems,

what to do and what not to do.

The course is best suited to all orthopaedic surgeons

and surgeons with interest in hand surgery. With

strong emphasis on individual attention, the

participants will get a hands on opportunity to

practice on cadavers, discuss real life situations

and enhance knowledge and skill through didactic

lectures, CD, interactions and handouts.

After the course the delegates should

Ÿ Have understood basic concepts of hand

injuries

Ÿ Plan incisions in hand

Ÿ Be confident about approaches to tendons,

joints, small bones and wrist

Ÿ Be confident about techniques of fixation of

fractures and tendon suturing

We welcome you to participate in this hands on

cadaveric workshop
