CBRN Crime Scene Modeler (C2SM) 05-0122TD (2006 - 08)07-0216TA (2009 – 10)
C2SM, 05-0122TD, 07-0216TA June 18, 2009
Project Motivation
• Reduce exposure to first responders investigating CBRN crime scenes – Decontamination may destroy vital evidence
– Personal protection almost impossible in RN scenes
• It is essential to develop technologies that– Reduce the need to enter the scene by using
• Remotely controlled equipment• Long stand-off sensors
– Maximize responders’ productivity reducing thus the time in the scene and their exposure
– Provide situational awareness to operators of teleoperated equipment
– Create permanent digital records of the scene
