What C-Cure Does:

Administration Client

Logging In:

Type in Username Type in Password After you log in, you will get a blank

screen

Commands menus are along the top:•We will only be looking at the Personnel menu

Looking Up Resident Record Pick “Personnel” on the

Menu Bar Options:

Add: Used to add a new resident record. This function is used by authorized personnel only.

Browse: Shows all records, you can then search for a record by typing in a last name

Query: Allows for all the search of records by all search criterion

Query by Name: Search for a record by name.

Query by Card #: Search for a record by ID card #.

•In this screen, you can use any of the fields to conduct a record search.

•Note: any unused fields areas must have a ? mark.

Query By Name

Type the name of the person you are searching for

You can enter just the first or last name Note: the unused fields MUST have a ? mark

Query By Card Number

Type the card # of the person you are searching for

Example in the Query Screen

Ex: Smith has been added in the last name of the query screen. Select the “Do Query” button to retrieve all Smith records.

Select Personnel Record

You will see a list with every person with that name in the “Result List”

Other Features Select Personnel Record:

further sort the result list to find a record.

Result List: list of available records. Highlight a record to select it.

Select Record Options: Function options for a record:

View: this will show you the record only. You will not be able to change anything

Edit: this will allow an enabled user to modify a record

Delete: this will delete a record. To be used by authorized personnel ONLY.

Let’s look at the edit screen…

Edit Personnel Record Screen Resident Information:

shows card type, name, card #, and SSN.

Tabs: there are 4 tabs that are used to alter a record: General: includes Access

Control Options, Activation Status, and Last Modification

Clearances: add/deletes door access for a resident

User: this screen is not used by student staff

Customer: this screen is not used by student staff

Changing Card NumbersIssuing Temporary Access Cards

Temp cards are issued in Residence Life Administration (RLA).

RLA will automatically update the card number in CCURE, thus changing the residents access needs.

There is no need to change anything in CCURE related to issuing a temp card.

GENERAL tab features Access Control Options:

a feature for authorized personnel

Activation Status: Can change the date and

time a card will activate and expire.

We do not used the expired, lost or disabled functions.

Last Modification: Shows who and when a

record was last modified. Previous Doors:

Shows when and where a resident last swiped into a door. (The next slide will show this feature.)

Previous Doors:Checking when a resident last swiped in.

Working backwards from the present, this screen shows every time the card is accepted or rejected at a card reader.

This is often used to check if a student has been reported as potentially missing.

CLEARANCES tab features Available Clearances:

Lists all doors on campus available to add to a residents access.

Selected Clearances: Lists all the doors

which have been selected for the resident.

Monitoring Client

Logging In:

Event Monitor

After logging in, the first screen to appear will be the Event Monitor screen.

This screen monitors who has swiped and been admitted or rejected entry into a door. In CCURE these swipes are called an Event

Alarm Monitor

To monitor the alarms on the doors in the building, click on the small triangle next to the pencil.

This button toggles between event and door alarm monitoring.

Alarm Monitor When there is

something wrong with a door (held open too long, propped open, etc.) the door alarm will sound and a notice will appear in this screen with triangle beside it.

Staff should be monitoring the doors they are responsible for 24 hrs a day.

For more information regarding why the alarm went off, click in the white area detailing the door location.

To acknowledge the alarm, click on the TRIANGLE for that alarm.

Acknowledging an Alarm After clicking on the

triangle, a new window will open.

Read the info regarding the alarm.

If the alarm is low level (being held open too long, etc.), select acknowledge and close the window.

If the alarm is reoccurring (the triangle has an ! mark beside it) or is high level, the door must be checked by a staff member.

Unlocking A Door

To unlock a specific door, click on the GREEN DOOR

This will open a new window

will be listed on the left side of the screen.

The lock/unlocked status of the door will be in the middle column.

Find and select the door you want to unlock.

Click Unlock Selected.

This will open a new window

It defaults to 1 hour from current time

Click OK

Canceling An Action

In the main screen, click on Manual Action Find the action you took Click on Cancel Selected Manual Action to reverse any actions

you want to undo.

Important Information

Granting door access to someone or creating false records with blank temporary cards is comparable to giving out unauthorized keys. Abuse of this privilege could result in immediate termination from your position.

Each staff member should log in and out when utilizing CCURE. You will be held responsible for any actions taken on your logon ID. Remember the system records who is responsible for every action taken.

The doors for each living area should be monitored 24 hours/day.
