We Brush Our Teeth

By Mrs. Schweickert

People brush their teeth to keep them clean and healthy.

Everyone needs to brush their teeth.

I should brush my teeth after I eat.

I can brush my teeth after breakfast, snack, lunch anddinner.

I will brush my teeth before I go to bed.

I need to brush my teeth three times a day so my teethwill be clean and healthy.

Brushing my teeth keeps my teeth clean, and gives meclean-smelling breath.

Brushing my teeth will also prevent cavities.

I don't want cavities!

Cavities are bad for my teeth.

Cavities can make my teeth hurt.

I brush my teeth at the sink.

I will need my toothbrush, toothpaste and water.

First, I get my toothbrush.

I can only brush my teeth with my toothbrush.

Now I'm ready for toothpaste.

I pick up the toothpaste and take off the cap.

I squeeze just a little bit of toothpaste onto mytoothbrush.

I will be careful not to let any toothpaste spill.

I put the cap back on the toothpaste.

I put the toothbrush with toothpaste into my mouth.

The toothpaste may taste like mint or cinnamon, ormaybe even bubblegum.

The toothpaste tastes good but I don't eat or swallow thetoothpaste.

Toothpaste is not food!

I move the toothbrush back and forth, up and down, onmy teeth.

I will be sure to brush all of my teeth.

When I'm finished brushing, I take the toothbrush outand spit all of the toothpaste into the sink.

I don't swallow the toothpaste.

I rinse my mouth with water and spit again.

I rinse off my toothbrush and put my toothbrush away.

I'm finished brushing my teeth!

My teeth are clean and healthy.

I did a good job brushing my teeth.

I will remember to brush my teeth every day.

I will do a good job brushing all of my teeth.
