ONLINE PORTFOLIO:BUILDING A WORDPRESS WEB SITE

STEP 1Go to wordpress.com

Go to wordpress.com

STEP 2Click on “Get Started Here.”

STEP 3

Fill in the boxes

and click “Create Blog.”

You will receive notification.

You do not need to fill in these boxes.

Example:

STEP 4

Open another browser to check your email.

Follow the instructions.

STEP 5

Your site will open with a default “theme.”

STEP 6

Click on the “your site name” in the upper left of your site

to go to your “dashboard.”

STEP 7

Under “Appearance,” you can choose your favorite theme.

Save changes.

STEP 8

Under “settings,” you can change the site title and tagline.

Save changes.

STEP 9

Add pages.

Publish.

STEP 10

Here is where you edit “Hello World!”

Publish.

This should be sufficient information to get you started on your online portfolio.
