Bunsen burners can be very Dangerous, you could get Hair caught on fire and you Could cause an accident !!!

There are two types of flames one the yellow safety flame and the blue roaring flame.

Roaring SafetyFlame Flame

To be safe using a Bunsen Burner you should wear safety goggles and an apron.If you are wearing a tie put it out the way e.g. Tuck it in your shirt.If you have lone hair tie it up with a hair band of an elastic band or your hair could catch on fire.

A Bunsen burner with the gas lead An apron A pair of goggles A tripod A gauze A gas tap Heat proof mat

First put the gas lead in the gas tap plug Next get a match ready After that put the lead in to the plug on

the gas tap Then turn the gas tap on and put the

match over the top of the Bunsen burner Put the tripod over the Bunsen burner After put the gauze on top of the tripod
