Letters/email home this week… Whole School Parent Zoom
meeting invite Do remember all letters home are available on our website http://ashleyjun-iorschool.co.uk/letters
Bulletin 16— Friday 15th January 2021
KEEP GOING!
We do appreciate how difficult it is for many of you to sustain supporting your
children with their remote learning—you’re doing a great job! Remember that we
are always here to help and will do all we can to make your role as easy as
possible. That’s why we have pre-recorded lessons, regular Google Meets and
access to Mr. Cousins and Mr. Tinsley for technical support. None of us want
this, however, we do all want the same thing—the best for your children— so
let’s make sure we work together to make it happen!
DAILY ACTIVE CHALLENGE
Staying active is a challenge at the moment, so
why not have a go at this Daily Challenge? Look
out for the link on the school website which takes
you to a series of tasks that are easy to set up
and complete. We
would love you to send
in your record to us so
we can see how you
improve over time and
who is the most active. A terrific family competi-
tion! Take a look and get started—we look for-
ward to seeing your entries.
ZOOM MEETING FOR PARENTS
You have been sent a text and email inviting you
to a Zoom Meeting for Parents and Carers on
Tuesday 19th January at 6:00pm. This is a
chance for Mr. Rix to share how the school feels
things are going and for you to bring up any con-
cerns, questions or celebrations. If you have
anything that you would like to discuss or a ques-
tion answered, please email it to
adminoffice@ajs.hants.sch.uk by Monday 18th
January.
On entry you will be muted but we are hoping
for a forum of thinking. We look forward to seeing
you there!
Do please
send in
photographs
of you doing
activities and
learning at
home—they
really cheer
us up!
MAKING GOOD THINGS HAPPEN
We do genuinely miss seeing your children and we always love to receive pho-
tos of them doing fun and interesting things. Imogen and her brother were litter-
picking on their daily walk to make their community better. Harrison, as part of
his challenge to be helpful, set the table and made dinner for the family! Well
done for making the best of things.

NEW GOVERNORS
We are thrilled to announce our two new Governors, Elizabeth and Kelly. Both will bring lots of
enthusiasm and ideas to the Governing Body and have already shown they are good friends of the
school. The Governing Body is
made up of volunteers and their
role is to be a ’critical friend’ to
the school leadership. As we are
a Foundation School, they are in
charge of the school’s assets
and make sure that we use our
resources prudently as well as
holding the school leaders to ac-
count. They are all very engaged
in the work of the school and do
vital work.
