The Symposium is an international Energy (iEnergy) moot
arranged to touch the best minds from a multi-disciplined
audience, and to serve as a platform for presenting the latest
research work, unveil upcoming innovations and projects, and to
provide updates on the latest policies to a national audience and
the media.

The International event has two components including:
· Symposium AND Poster Session.
The Symposium will include invited talks by speakers both
from within the Country as well as abroad covering range
of cutting edge topics.
The poster session will run side by side during lunch and
tea breaks in which latest innovative research projects on
Energy will be presented by academia and industry.

Aims and Objectives:
Scope:
The Symposium is organized with an aim to spark innovative
thinking and showcase examples of products that will ensure
environmental, Industrial and economic success in the energy
sector today and in the future.
The Symposium will provide opportunities for networking,
learning, exchanging, exhibiting, procuring, and investing in
the future of latest energy efficient technologies.
The topics include , but not limited to Renewable Energy,
Biomass, Wind Energy, Geothermal Energy, Vibration Energy,
Beam-powered Energy, Fuel Energy, Innovative Energy
Solutions for Pakistan, Energy Management, Smart Grid and
Energy Audit etc.

DISTINGUISHED GUEST SPEAKERS:
Ÿ Prof Dr Raziq Yaqub is Associate Professor at University of Tennessee USA. He has extensive work experience on Smart Grid. His invited speech will highlight the importance of Smart Grid, for energy efficiencies through enabling Internet.
Ÿ Prof Dr A H Zaidi has work experience with US Air force projects. He will deliberate the role of wireless beam powered Energy for Aero and space aviation.
Ÿ Dr. Amjad Naseer is an Associate Professor at the Department of Civil Engineering, UET Peshawar. His research work includes Evaluation of Cavity Wall Building for Energy Conservation and Evaluation of different Roof Materials for Energy Conservation. He will present the idea of Energy Efficient Buildings.
Ÿ Arch Afzal Ebrahim is a practicing architect . He has work experience, Arizona and California. He will discuss about his ongoing research on “Comparative Thermal Analysis of adobe (mud) and brick/concrete buildings for passive cooling”.
Ÿ Prof Dr Saif ur Rahman (Key note Speaker) is the Joseph R. Loring Professor of electrical and computer engineering and the Founding Director of the Advanced Research Institute at Virginia Tech USA. He is a Fellow of the IEEE, the Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE Transactions on Sustainable Energy, and a distinguished lecturer of the Power & Energy Society.
The Presentation will address the issues and highlight the success stories and future plan for the growth in renewable energy technologies globally.
Ÿ Mr Najeeb Ullah is a member of the Material Chemistry Group at Cambridge University UK, where he is working on “Harnessing Solar Energy via Photo catalytic Materials for Chemical Reactions. His speech will focus on Solar harnessing.
Ÿ Dr Farid Ullah is an Associate Professor at UET Peshawar. He has PhD from University of British Columbia USA. His talk will focus on Vibration-based energy harvesters, which are inertial micro-generators.
Ÿ Dr Shakeel Qureshi is an architect and researcher from NCA Lahore. He has Ph.D. from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University USA. He will focus his discussions on,“Sustainable Architecture”, “Appropriate Building Materials”, and “Housing for Poor.
Ÿ Arch Uzma Kabir is rchitect having strong linkage with academia. Being a researcher on Sustainable & Green Architecture, she will highlight the importance of Green Architecture in Pakistan’s Energy Scenario.
