Aims of the institute
INSTITUTE OF MACHINE DESIGN
A long - term global mission of the IMD is to provide a high quality education, research and service to the industry in the field of up – to -date machine design, including machine parts and also in the field of industrial design. An emphasis is therefore laid upon the use of the latest findings in the area of fundamental and applied sciences, upon the prediction of design trends, and upon the integration of computer and information technology into designing processes.
In cooperation with significant organisations of employers and specialised workplaces, the institute has been constantly improving a qualitative development of study programs so that these programs do not only provide a better reflection of current state of science and technology but also respond to up – to –date needs of labor market and industrial practice.
