Plasmacluster TechnologySharp Air Purifiers contain a Plasmacluster Ion generator that releases positive and negative ions into the air. The Plasmacluster Ions diffuse through the room, surrounding airborne allergens, bacteria, mould and viruses, converting hydrogen molecules in their surface proteins into water.
Plasmacluster Ions: * Reduce suspended allergens and floating mould spores
with positive and negative ions Plasmacluster Ions are helpful in deactivating allergens caused by dust mites and in deactivating mould spores that can cause mildew in the home. Sharp Air Purifiers help to improve the quality of the air you breathe.
• Reduce suspended viruses with positive and negative ions Plasmacluster Ions break down and remove projecting spike-shaped proteins of suspended viruses such as influenza, reducing their effects.
• Neutralise odour-causing molecules with positive and negative ions Plasmacluster Ion technology helps reduce the source of a wide range of unpleasant household odours including cooking, pets, garbage and cigarette smoke odours.
• Freshen the air with negative ions Using negative ions, Sharp Air Purifiers help to clean and
refresh the air. The release of negative ions creates a “feel good” atmosphere similar to naturally occurring environments like a rainforest or near a waterfall.

Plasmacluster Ions are similar to positive and negative ions found in nature. The ions are surrounded by water molecules, and are released into the air.
The ions form hydroxide (OH) radicals that are highly oxidising when they adhere to the surfaces of airborne microbes like suspended allergens, bacteria, mould and viruses. They remove hydrogen from the surface proteins, breaking them down.
The hydroxide (OH) radicals combine with hydrogen (H) to form water (H2O) which returns to the air.

Rotating humidifying filterThe unit senses the humidity level in the room. When the room becomes dry the filter rotates, picking up water from the tank and releasing moisture into the air. When the humidity reaches the desired level the filter is removed from the water and dried by the airflow to prevent mould growth.

Dust Sensor and Clean SignThe in built Dust Sensor automatically monitors the dust pollution levels in the air. This is then indicated on the Clean Sign lighting which will show if the air quality in the room is clean or impure.
Quick CleanSelecting the Quick Clean mode enables the Air purifier to operate at HIGH fan speed for 15 minutes then returning to the prior operation setting. This mode allows a quick and effective clean.
