● Identify and integrate Web-based tools and digital apps for distance World Language learning & teaching language production that align with the World-Readiness Standards.
● Design activities, experiences, & assessments for all three modes of communication in a distance learning environment.
Compassionate, engaging, and reflective teaching during school closures and national emergencies.
To consider: ● Access for all: WiFi, multiple students on one device | computer? What if parents are telecommuting
● Homelife: Safe place? Household responsibilities?
● Parent engagement: How long can parents | families maintain a structured educational focus?
● Screen Time vs. humans connections: Encourage relationships, offer break-out rooms for kids to connect.
● Proficiency benchmarks and expectations: Be gentle with your colleagues and students!
● Balance: How many tools, Web sites, apps, etc. can we expect to use proficiently?
● Assessment security and integrity: Can we expect a classroom experience?
● Focus on feedback, not grades
● AP testing: How are you preparing your students?
