Birds of Nepal

There are over hundreds of thousands of bird species all over the world.

None of the places have a more diverse selection than that of birds of Nepal.

The bird species of Nepal can be subdivided into 3 major categories:

1. The Accidental2. The Endemic3. The Introduced

The accident species are species that have over the course of evolution accidentally

showed up in the Nepal region

The endemic species are the ones who are endemic in Nepal and have no outside

influence since very early in their evolution

The introduced species are species brought to Nepal by humans in an effort to breed, domesticate, hunt or even raise

them for our own purposes

Of the approximately 900 bird species within Nepal…
