Use the Fujita Scale to INFER the rating of the tornado described in the story. Provide evidence to SUPPORT your answer.

Find the part in “Thunder Rose” where Rose battles the twin tornadoes.

Using the text evidence and the pictures, how would you rate these tornadoes using the Fujita Scale?

Pretend you are Rose’s neighbor. Write a journal entry that describes what you saw. Include a drawing.

Make sure your description of the tornadoes matches your Fujita rating.
