Acquaintances and peers frequently question us about the term “Visual Communications” and what it entails. We express our ideas and emotions through visual interpretation. Experimental learning with the help of trial and error has enabled us to produce our accomplished works which include a combination of typography, photography, digital media, illustration, advertising, and design. The knowledge we have gained through our past course experience has allowed us to understand the process of individual creativity and has prepared us to face future challenges within the workforce.

After successfully escaping freshman year, the twenty-eight of us have collectively molded into a family, however uniqueness and personality still manifests within each of us. The studio is our asylum where we perform a majority of artistic duties ranging from work productivity to procrastination, yet lighthearted humor and effervescence is constantly present.

Thank you for kindly lending us your ear. We applaud you for joining us today in our world of creative bliss to witness a variety of our favored work since the emergence of UDVC ‘10. Here is an insightful riddle for all ponder: “How many blogs would a web blog blog if a web blog could blog blogs?”

“Yesterday we visited the Design Museum, which is the museum I’ve appreciated the most thus far. It’s overwhelming to see the history of what you are studying, as well as so many people’s contribution to the industry. I thought I had a video of one of my favorite things called “The Cloud” by Troika, but I only have a still (which does it no justice whatsoever). Google it. Kinetic sculptures blow my mind. Afterwards, Kevin and I were

“For MAKE ART NOW we wanted everyone to feel free to act like a little kid for an afternoon and spread “pixie dust” throughout the park, with chalk and glitter. Unfortunately, we found out that chalking could get

us in trouble, so we had to resort to other child like activities. I really wanted to climb a tree & after a few attempts and realizing that just getting up there was to difficult. Angela, Wolfe and I got up there at the same time while Nicole and Ally stood below very upset to not be up there with us… their journey up required team work and the continued pics show the fear that struck once ally got up there.” - Kathleen

“Graham Fink said, ‘If you can follow your gut, you will be great and you will fly. The only person stopping you, weirdly

enough, is you.’ In order to be great, you have to believe that you will be. If we ‘fail, fuck up, get things wrong,’ we’ll have more of a learning experience and more of an idea of what we want to do. If we believe that nothing is impossible, as Kate Stanners put it, ‘this will be the most fun job in the world.’ Leaving the visit Ashley said, ‘do something stupid, go crazy, get arrested.’ So mom if you’re reading this, I’m sorry. But if that happens, it’s for the greater good.” - Nicole

Katie Bono had a delicious looking muffin and Kevin as usual had a pastry. Today was a wonderful day for Holga. It was a good Day for Type.” - Matthew

“Being in Brooklyn for twenty-seven days, living with two people who I had previously never met before, working for a company I’ve never even heard of, and for the first time in my life, truly flexing my wings as an individual, was an experience I’m glad to say I took.
