What is Hosteling International?

4

Hosteling International is a nonprofit membership organization that has been serving young travelers for over 80 years. The organization was founded in 1934 to promote international understanding of the world and its people..

HI invites people to volunteer at HI Austin and other hostels around the USA for a variety of positions such as leading excursions for guests in your local community, cooking meals for travelers, leading travel classes, being a committee member for awarding travel scholarships, etc.

In England/Wales, Youth Hostels Association (YHA) is a part of Hostelling International.
