SIGNIFICANT EVENTSAt approximately 2:00AM, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at Gregory Way andDoheny Drive for a vehicle code violation. The on-scene investigation resulted in the arrest of thedriver and passenger. The charges included driving on a suspended driver’s license, possession ofburglary tools, possession of stolen property and several narcotics charges.

At 10:22PM, officers received a call of a citizen chasing a burglary suspect in the 400 block of N.Palm Drive. Officers quickly found the suspect as he tried to hide in a parking lot. The suspectwas arrested for residential burglary.
06/05/2017
A night watch patrol unit identified a stolen vehicle traveling in the area of Santa Monica Blvdand Charleville Blvd. Officers safely stopped the vehicle. Further investigation revealed stolenproperty from an involved parked vehicle on the 400 block of S. Canon Drive. Two (2) adultswere taken into custody at the scene. The victim was located and the stolen property returned.

At 10:10PM, officers encountered a suicidal subject at the top floor of a parking structure.Negotiations were initiated by patrol officers, unfortunately, the subject jumped from the topfloor and is listed in critical condition.
06/17/2017
At about 11:41AM, officers located a stolen vehicle driving at Wilshire Blvd and Whittier Drive.The suspect became aware of the officers' presence and attempted to flee and a vehicle pursuitwas initiated. Near the intersection of Lomitas Avenue and Beverly Drive, the suspect vehiclecollided with another vehicle. No one in the other vehicle was injured. The two (2) fleeingsuspects were captured quickly and the third surrendered.

Night watch officers observed a subject scavenging in violation of a BHMC ordinance.Subsequent investigation revealed he was on parole for burglary and was in possession ofburglary tools, drug paraphernalia, and had misappropriated lost property. He was arrested onthe aforementioned charges.
06/24/2017
At 9:58PM, officers responded to a stabbing call in the 200 block of S. Roxbury Drive. A femalestabbed her adult daughter during an altercation. The victim sustained major injuries and iscritical condition. The suspect was also injured during the altercation and is in custody.
06/26/2017
At 11:14AM, at the intersection of Santa Monica Boulevard and Foothill Road officersresponded to a call regarding a male subject holding a knife. They located the suspect and theirsubsequent investigation revealed he was in the possession of two (2) illegal knives. He wasarrested.
06/27/2017
At 8:30PM, an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a vehicle code violation in the areaof Wilshire Blvd and Camden Drive. The investigation determined that the two (2) individualswithin the vehicle were in possession of stolen property and narcotics. Both were bookedwithout incident.

DETECTIVE BUREAU06/06/2017 There was a residential burglary that occurred in the 200 block of South Almont Drive. The
follow-up investigation conducted by Detectives and Crime Lab personnel resulted in theidentification of a suspect for the suspect's arrest. The case was presented to the Los AngelesDistrict Attorney's Office and a warrant was issued.
06/09/2017 Patrol officers conducted a pedestrian stop on a subject. During the stop officers developedprobable cause to arrest the suspect for possession of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia,and possession of stolen property. Detectives conducted a follow-up investigation and were ableto establish the suspect was also involved in fraud, forgery and identity theft. The case waspresented to the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office and a felony complaint was filed.
06/14/2017 During a six-month timeframe, two (2) burglaries were committed in an office building located inthe 400 block of N Roxbury Drive. Detectives were able to determine both burglaries werecommitted by the same suspect. Detectives coordinated with another local agency that wasexperiencing similar type burglaries. The suspect was identified.
TRAFFIC BUREAU06/01/2017 Traffic Bureau Supervisors met with representatives from the Santa Monica Blvd Reconstruction
Project several times during the month to determine TCO/Officer deployment related to theproject and the closure of eastbound traffic lanes between Wilshire Blvd and Rodeo Drive.
06/02/2017 Traffic Bureau implemented a new traffic plan to facilitate the reformatted Beverly Hills HighSchool graduation ceremonies. The event was successful and there were no significant incidentsto report.
06/03/2017 The Santa Monica Blvd Project traffic plan was implemented utilizing up to 12 TCOs/PEOs eachday. The results of this effort were positive and traffic gridlock was kept to a minimum in theCity.
06/18/2017 Traffic Bureau implemented a traffic plan for the Rodeo Drive Concours d'Elegance Car Show.The event was successful and there were no significant incidents to report.
06/30/2017 Traffic Bureau Supervisors met with Metro Purple Line Expansion Project Representatives severaltimes during the month regarding the construction timeline, construction related activities, andconstruction traffic plans on Wilshire Blvd between San Vicente and La Cienega Blvd. Numerouspositions were staffed day and night to assist Metro Contractors.
06/30/2017 TCOs and officers staffed numerous events at the Saban Theatre in an effort to mitigate theimpacts of the Metro Project in the immediate area.
06/30/2017 Parking Enforcement Officers wrote 4,317 citations during the month.
PERSONNEL & TRAINING BUREAU07/06/2017 During the month of June, staff processed ninety-nine (99) entry-level and three (3) lateral police
applicants for the police officer position and seven (7) applicants for the police cadet position. Inaddition, one (1) Lateral Dispatcher and one (1) Property Officer were hired during the month ofJune.
