Ben Cousins

• Ben Cousins was drafted by the West Coast Eagles.

• In 2005 he won the Brownlow Medal.

• He became very successful and was named West Coast’s captain.

• Following a big night out Cousins ran from a random breath test. He lost the captaincy of West Coast.

• The following year he won the AFL premiership.

• He was then arrested for drug possession.

• A large media group was there to film him as he was being arrested.

• Cousins was arrested and followed by the media

• Media constantly followed Cousins everywhere

• To escape the media Cousins went overseas to a drug rehabilitation centre.

• When he returned he was then suspended for 12 months for bringing the game in to disrepute.

• After serving the ban, Cousins was recruited by Richmond.

• Cousins began training for his new club.

• Cousins then made headlines by giving the finger to a TV camera.

• Following an altercation with fellow team mates the club gave Cousins a one match ban.

• Cousins then retired from AFL.

• After his retirement Cousins released his documentary “Such Is Life” highlighting his drug addiction.

• The documentary also showed off Ben’s party boy antics.

• The documentary featured many controversial scenes.

• Ben Cousins is said to now be off drugs forever.
