1. Provide each student with a copy of the template on the following page. 2. Get each student to write his/her name on the
palm of the hand. 3. Split students in to groups of 5. 4. Students write what they think is unique about
them in one of the fingers. This could just be a word, or a short sentence.
5. The students pass their hands around the circle, and the other students write a unique quality in a finger about that student. 6. Once completed, cut the hands out and make
a poster with all the hands glued on to display in the room.

Student of the Week Instructions
1. Enlarge and print the boy/girl silhouettes provided on pages 25-26. Also enlarge and print the banner found on the next page.
2. Find a space in the room to hang each template and the banner.
3. Print copies of the ‘getting to know you’ templates on pages 27-36.
4. Select a boy and a girl to be the student of the week.
5. Provide each student with copies of the ‘getting to know you’ templates.
6. Students take these home and complete them. When they bring them back stick them around the silhouettes. Get the students to talk about their responses.

Design a poster about being a good
friend
Friendship Mobile Instructions

1. Provide each student with 3 strips of colored paper/card, approximately 25cm long (10 inches). Also provide them with a copy of the template on the next page.
2. On the provided template get students to color and decorate the mobile heading (friendship).
3. In the frames provided on the right side of the page, students draw pictures and words that relate to being a good friend.
4. Students cut out the words and pictures and the ‘friendship’ heading.
5. Get students to attach each colored strip evenly to the banner heading. Then attach 4 words / pictures to each colored strip.
