Air Traffic facilities record daily aircraft operations under low altitude airroute control. From these daily records, a facility is able to select the peak dayof IFR aircraft departures. Reported are data on aircraft type, air speed, altitudeorigin and destination, departure time and date of peak day,_

elections frtiu these data are presented in tables on departures by ARTCC. Detail-of altitudes assigned are shown by both aircraft and engine groupings and also bytype of user. Departure times are presented by center, by class of user and air-craft type.

ENROUTE IFR AIR TRAFFIC SURVEY

Air traffic facilities record daily aircraft operations under lowaltitude air route control. From these daily records, a facility isable to select the peak day of IFR aircraft departures. Reported aredata on aircraft type, ait speed, altitude, origin and destination,departure time and date of peak day.

Selections from these data are presented in tables on departures byARTCC. Details of altitudes assigned are shown by both aircraft andengine groupings and also by type of user. Departure times arepresented by center, by class of user and aircraft type.

FAA Air Traffic Activity for Fiscal Year 1978; the Census of U.S. CivilAircraft and FAA Statistical Handbook of Aviation for Calendar Year 1977;and Airport Activity Statistics of Certificated Route Air Carriers,Twelve Months Ended June 30, 1978 are now available.
