Process/Motivation: Excel list
Many customers are changing their terms of contract on a regular basis (e.g.
biannual). This may implicate that, per customer/ship-to party and material
number, new SD-scheduling agreements have to be created
To minimize manual work the creation of scheduling agreements shall take place
automatically to the greatest possible extend
Some of the parameters stay unchanged, like e.g. the sales document type, the
sales area and so on. Most of the time only the material numbers / purchase
order numbers or change states are changing
Previously coordination with the customers were taking place by means of Excel
lists. They serve as basis for a program which creates SD-scheduling
agreements automatically
6© SAP SE or an SAP affiliate company. All rights reserved.
Process/Motivation: IDoc
Furthermore, if required, single SD-scheduling agreements shall be created
automatically for selective internal customers (own plants) which send their
forecast delivery schedules via EDI
Thus the effort through manual maintenance beforehand is minimized as far as
that SD-scheduling agreements are only created when the first purchasing
orders corresponding to the relevant materials (EDI-forecast delivery schedules)
are available
Some configuration setting is required because not all the necessary information
is transferred via IDoc (e.g. scheduling agreement type, sales area, further
partners, etc.)

Project relevant topics
In order to create scheduling agreements automatically, it should be checked
beforehand, if e.g.:
The relevant material master sights are existing
A sales price is maintained
A customer material info record or the customer material number in the Excel
list are existing
Before a program for the automated creation of SD- scheduling agreements is
started it shall be illustrated in an overview list that the criteria to check are existing
so that a successful creation of an SD-scheduling agreement is possible.
The check criteria and standard value for the creation of SD-scheduling agreements
(like e.g. sales document type, sold-to party, delivering plant) have to be stored in
separate master data tables / transactions.

Creation via IDoc: Derivation of scheduling agreement type
During the creation of SD-scheduling agreements certain values have to be
specified. This data can be partly adopted from the transferred IDoc. Further data
is derived from or rather specified by configuration settings.
Depending on e.g. the KANBAN indicator of the customer it can be specified with
which sales document type the SD-scheduling agreement should be created. The
scheduling agreement IDoc contains the relevant KANBAN indicator.

Creation via IDoc: Derivation of organizational data
Depending on the transferred IDoc data and the scheduling agreement type it can
be specified with which organizational data the SD-scheduling agreement should
be created.
The scheduling agreement IDoc contains the correspondent criteria:
Vendor
Partner description and
Customer material (optional, maskable)

Creation via IDoc: Derivation of organizational data (detail)
These standard values, if they are entered, override the standard derivation (e.g.
the shipping point determination)

Creation via IDoc: Derivation of partner
It can be specified to the sales area and the sold-to party (or rather ship-to party)
with which further partners the SD-scheduling agreement should be created.
Thus the partners are derived:
Bill-to party
Payer

Creation via MS-Excel: Check on material master sights
In a transaction it can be deposited per plant which material master sights have to
be obligatory and which are optional. The following settings are available:
Can be maintained: The material master sight can be available to support
the creation of the SD-scheduling agreement (e.g. sales texts)
Has to be maintained: The material master sight has to be available to
create the SD-scheduling agreement (e.g. sales views)
Not relevant: The material master sight is not relevant to create SD-
scheduling agreements
