A MESSAGE FROM YOUR LTG Hey Division 1,
The 68th Annual International Convention was held last month in Phoenix, Arizona. The Dis-
trict Tour was spectacular, and the convention itself was even better! Attendees were able to meet and
bond with Key Clubbers from the other 32 districts! It was definitely a fun and exciting experience, and
I hope to see many of you at ICON 2012 in Orlando Florida next summer!
As summer comes to an end and the beginning of the school year approaches, I hope that you
all are prepared for more planning and preparing! The next few months are going to be exciting with
our Fall RTCs, Fall Rally, Key Leader, and divisional events. Please be sure to check your emails daily.
I hope that everyone enjoys the rest of their summer, and I hope to see you all very soon!
Yours in Caring and Service,
Cecilia Kang

Region
al Train
ing
Are you ready to join us as we
Sweeten the World with Service at
this year’s Regional Training Con-
ferences? Although you may know a
lot of Key Club facts, the greatest
insight anyone can gain from this
organization is from the people. Of
course, RTC workshops are de-
signed to be information and educa-
tional for officers and general mem-
bers alike, but —more importantly—
they provide opportunities for Key
Club members from all over the
state to meet each other and ex-
change ideas. This sharing of ideas
is what distinguishes Key Club from
the many other service organiza-
tions in that we are able to maintain
an active and complex network be-
tween all of our individual clubs.
Whether you are a general member
or an officer, there is much to gain
from attending a Regional Training
Conference in your area.
This Service Year, the Spring
2011 RTCs were held at Millburn
HS and Brick Memorial HS and
both proved to be extremely success-
ful. The dates for the Fall 2011
RTCs as well as the workshops that
will be taught there are stated in the
box below. Please try to stay for the
entire conference as all workshops
and sessions are of great importance.
Officers are required to attend at
least one RTC as per the distin-
guished criteria. Feel free to contact
me at secretary.jfang@gmail.com if
you have any questions and I look
forward to seeing you there!

Swing INTO THE
JUNGLE OF SERVICE BY DIV 3A LTG AMI SHAH
Swing into the Jungle of Service on October 9th, 2011 with the New Jersey District at its an-
nual Fall Rally at the thrill-inducing Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, NJ! Picture a beauti-ful October day. Now imagine it in the backdrop, reflecting over Kingda Ka’s monstrous 456-
foot high peak. Finally, imagine this stunning sight in the distance, as you sit in an arena with
3,000 other Key Clubbers, fighting to win the Spirit Stick, and watching the whole New Jersey
District Board dressed as their favorite jungle animals!
However, the fun doesn’t end there! Once the short and fun-filled session ends, you have the
day to roam the park as you wish. Fight your fears of the dark by going on Skull Mountain, or
attempt to conquer the beast as you undertake a front-row experience of El Toro. The possi-
bilities are endless!
This year, Fall Rally costs only $33 if you get your payment in by October 1st! If payment
comes in late, it costs $38. Regardless, you are getting admission into the park for almost half
of the regular price. Of course, if you are a season pass holder, the cost of Fall Rally is a mere
$6. There are also prices for the student and advisor lunches! The whole entire luncheon only
costs $14! Presidents and advisors, start talking to your schools and Boards Of Education now
about arranging transportation to Fall Rally, since things are difficult to schedule once school
starts again in the fall. All officers, start promoting this wonderful event to all of your clubs.
And, last not but not least, general members, start getting excited to attend this phenomenal event. If you are having issues arranging transportation for Fall Rally, contact either your Ki-
wanis Club, who would be glad to help you get transportation to this event, or your Lieuten-
ant Governor, who is equipped with materials that can guide you through any logistical prob-lem you may have in attending Fall Rally.

Key Leader is Kiwanis International’s leadership educa-
tion program for high school students. Its mission is to
provide a “life-changing experience that inspires young
people to achieve their personal best through service lead-
ership.” Key Leader is an amazing weekend full of oppor-
tunities to inspire and to be inspired by fellow Key Club-
bers from all over the district (and even student leaders
who are not a part of a Key Club). The program is for
those who exemplify a great amount of potential and will-
ingness to work, which all of you Key Clubbers show just
by choosing to be involved in such a great organization
like Key Club.
Key Leader is definitely one of the best and most
inspiring Key Club weekends, and those who have at-
tended Key Leader events in the past would agree. The
event for the New Jersey District is held every December
at Camp Lebanon in Lebanon, NJ. This year, the event
will take place from Friday, December 9th to Sunday,
December 11th. If you have any questions, comments, or
concerns, feel free to contact your lieutenant governor.
December’s just a few short months away! Hope to see
you all there!

Meet our new District Webmaster, Wesley Yuan!
To Division 1,
Hello, everyone! My name is Wesley Yuan of Parsippany High School (Division 19), and your Lieutenant
Governor, Cecilia Kang, requested me to have the honor of introducing myself to you guys. I am going to enter my
final year in High School this fall, and I can’t wait to start the year off with the various activities I participate in in-
cluding Marching Band, Swimming, Science Olympiad, and of course, Key Club!
Since freshman year, I’ve served as a General Member for the first two years of high school and as Web-
master during my Junior year. This year, I will have the honor of serving you guys as the New Jersey District Web-
master for the 2011-2012 New Jersey District Board, and I can’t describe how excited I am. I look forward to work-
ing with all of the Lieutenant Governors including yours truly, Cecilia. I also look forward to meeting all of the offi-
cers who desire to become better leaders during the upcoming Fall Regional Training Conferences. I can also assure
you guys that Fall Rally will be one of the best trips to Six Flags you’ll ever have, so don’t forget to register! Finally, if
any webmasters from Division 1 would like any help to improve their websites and clubs, feel free to send me an e-
mail! I wish everyone the best of luck in everything that they do!
Yours in Caring and Service,
Wesley Yuan
