USE OF NON-GAAP FINANCIAL MEASURES

This presentation contains references to non-GAAP financial measures, which are financial measures that are not prepared in conformity with accounting principles generally accepted in the United States (GAAP). Management uses these measures internally for evaluating its operating performance. Adjusted total net sales excludes a settlement agreement and Adjusted operating income is adjusted to exclude, among other things, the effects of amortization of purchased intangible assets and other purchase accounting entries, acquisition and integration-related expenses, restructuring expenses, separation expenses, as well as certain other items considered unusual or non-recurring in nature.
