    Dear Parents/Carers,

Everything continues to go well in school and the children are working hard and are clearly glad

to be back with their friends.

It still feels a little strange for everybody and we certainly miss all the extra activities and

events that we would normally be doing, but fingers crossed we will slowly be able to start

    them all again.

I would like to say a big welcome to Mrs Caroline Ritchie who joined our staff team this week. I

am sure she will soon feel very at home at Arreton.

We are all getting to grips with the WEDUC communication app and last week for the first time

we added the newsletter to the newsfeed. We will continue to send an electronic or paper

copy at the moment but the hope is that eventually we will be able to just use the Weduc app.

How are you finding the app? If you have any comments about it and how easy or not you are

finding it to use, please let us know. Hopefully we will be able to sort any issues.

We still have a few parents who have not signed up to Weduc , class Dojo and Tapestry, if you

are having problems doing so or have misplaced the joining letter please let us know and we

will resend the letters and joining instructions.

Thank you to everybody who has returned their child’s data collection sheet and Educational

Visit permission letter. If you have not done so could you please do so by Friday 25th

    September.

I know that we are entering cold season and many of you would normally send your children in

with their own tissues, but could I ask you not to at the moment. We have plenty of tissues in

school which the children can use. If they use our tissues it really helps us with the “catch it, bin

    it, wash your hands routine.”

Just a reminder that we are having the individual school photographs taken on Wednesday. I

realise that years 5&6 would normally be in their PE kits on that day. If you wish your child to

be in their uniform for the photo please send them in their normal uniform that day. Equally, if

you would like them to have their photo taken in their new PE shirt please send them in their

PE kits as normal. If you have any questions please contact the school.

Thank you once again for your patience and co-operation at drop-off and pick up times. It

seems to run smoothly most days now.

Have a great weekend and see you all on Monday.

    Yours sincerely

    Mrs Maria Herbert
