ADP is the main vehicle for holistic development

It is a geographical area with integrated child

focused TD that is community-led

Maximum coverage area is up to 50,000 people

Covers an Inkhundla or part of it so that there is

only one Member of Parliament and is easy for

administration purpose

ALIGNMENT WITH DECENTRALIZATION POLICY MAIN GOAL

To provide an enabling environment for promoting

and enhancing sustainable development within a

decentralized governance framework

It promote demand-driven community and national

development programmes and projects that

contribute to the ultimate object of enhancing

poverty reduction

ADP CHARACTERISTICS

Settlement pattern : sparsely populated rural communities

ADP life time: 15 years or more

Programme multi - year plan funding source: Sponsorship, grants & local income
