“ Aurs in tecom was my first hospitality project, where i had the chance to understand the beauty and also the complications of designing a hotel. It is a worthy challenge to undertake. “

HOSPITALITY EXPERIENCE

In this project, I was working on furniture layouts, detailed drawings and spaces interior design.

I had the opportunity to deal with the owner, operaters, contractors and suppliers, which gave me the experience to understand the way of thinking of each party.

“ In Auris plaza resort RAK, I had the opportunity in the commencement. of the projectto space planning the hotel with the design department of AURIS.

The plans were developed internaly to accomodate technical and operational spaces, yet reflect thefuture image of the hotel through the public spaces given such as turkish bath, fish market restaurant and big terraces and balconies. “

Certain number of floors and rooms had to be respected, and in the same time spatioal and calm internal environment had to be offered to the future customers.

“ Another project where space planning, furniture layouts and presentationskills were developed.

In this project, a bigger challenge having a big variety of room layouts. yet it was resolved through distributing the furniture and having concepts for eachdedicated type which automaticelly reduced the number of types as it was counted by the shape of the rooms.”

AURIS LODGE JEDDAH HOTEL

“ In this project, further detailing was necessory on site. MEP drawings were developed and studied to accomodate the proposed furniture distribution.Furniture dimensions and BOQ were also provided for budget studies.

The challenge in this hotel was to communicate with contractors in saudi arabia and understand a different process and standards while operational revisions ware necessory to enhance the future room and hotel designs. “

Wet areas were studied to choose the right flooring for each space.Kitchen and bathrooms were also designed to accomodate all the necessory equipments and fixtures.

AURIS ATM STAND DETAILED DESIGN

“ Being an architect in AURIS group of hotels, atm stand detailed design was being developed internaly.Detailed drawings, furniture and materials selection were composed to deliver a complete ATM design.

The concept of the stand was to create zoning by different levels on the the floor, while creating a mod-ernistic simple yet eye catchy 3D design.

A gate was developed in the middle to accomodate store rooms for the hospitality counter and food ofered in the event, tinking technical while treat the same with a fresh and new design look. “

“ While working in a design company, I had the opportunity to be part of big scale residential projects. In this project, I developed plan layouts, furniture layout and exterior elevations.

The planning process had to respect the different zones of the house; services, staff areas, formal and family spaces. “

I used sketching to develop the exterior elevations of the house. Hand sketching helpes me for further imagination and speeds the design process.I was aiming into creating a modern design while respecting the tradition of the land and people.Different types of screens were developed to create privacy and reflecting the inter-nal space functions.

“ Respecting certain clients needs and tasete, this project was dveloped.Mediterranean romantic style reflecting a classical architectural language yet creating an openiness and different zoning through courts internaly.

Propotion was a major guide tool while designing, whether it is a moderndesign or classical, propostion needs to be followed. “

“ This project was in India. I had the oportunity to study the land, weather, people cultureand clients taste.

The 3D view was a sketch to reflect the wooden nature of India, the welcoming spirit of the client and looking forward to develop a modern homestic projects in India. ”

SAUDI SCHOOL DESIGN

“ In this project, I was part of revising school plans and layouts which is located in Saudi Arabia. I wass trying to accomodate all the client and contractors require-ments while keeing a spatial spaces for the kids.

Modulars were developed with standared areas and functions while keeping themaximum playing outdoor area. “

Following the prelimiery layouts, an exterior elevations needed to be developed as well. I started sketching my imaginaiton of the idealoutdoor spaces for the kids.

The elevations were developed to reflect the internal functions whereall classes in different areas followed by certain treatment and same concept was repeated for corridors, lobbys and offices.

“ A big scale commercial project based in India. I worked in a team where I had to understandall the important factors to develop a succesfull office spaces.

I started working on space planning, then furniture layouts keeping in mindthe space spirit as a 3D developer. For a better 3D space understanding, I worked on google sketch up to elevate the walls and furniture having the spaces alive ”

“ In this project located in the jumaira village circle, I had the opportunity to design a coffee shop from the commencement of the project till the tendering package.

Starting with a mood board and moving to create a spacial interior space where FF & E selec-tion was developed to strenghten the design overall.

Trees with pending light was the main concept of the design and materials shown such as wood and brick was selected to support the trees concept. ”

“ While working in the design company, a business development executive was required where I had the opportunity to be an architect and enter as well the business field.

I started this journey with extensive research for the components of a good business develoepr,and implementing preliminary ideas.

I was targeting potential clients and succeed to approach many. It was a challenge but worthy to undertake. I learnt alot as this field is mainly developing communication skills where it is needed in all fields.

I developed marketing plans in a low budget where word of mouth and social media are the main marketing components. It gave me the opportunity to meet a lot of people and develop my own network.

I was working in the project management team where I had to fast learn my field projects man-aging skills. It gave me the knowledge of competetors products and pricing technique.

In addition to the points mentioned above, posters, presentations and occasional flyer were developed by me, as I wanted to reflect the brand in the brightest way possible to our usual and prospective clients.”

“ I worked for more than 2 months in a landscape company located in Dubai. I learnt the gardening design process, swimming pools types and construction and plant types available in UAE and the gulf region.

It was useful experience for me to develop the exterior environment as well as interior in any project.It needs to understand the way of mixing the different types of the plants to reflect thebeauty of the garden.

I worked on landscape layouts, irrigation plans and swmming pools construction drawings.This experience enlighten my vision for noticing the importance of the greens. ”

In my school, I had the opportunity to be part of the renovation of Al Marija Area in Sharjah city, UAE. I studied the heritage of UAE; path, domestic buildings, public areas and the feel of the place.

I developed in a team an urban planning concept where a story telling path was created to reflect the heritage of the place.”
