Good Grief-Social Distancing! Nobody wants to be socially distant, especially when it is totally contrary to everything we stand for here at the Senior Center! However, we have no choice right now but to accept this fact and abide by the Governors order, the CDC and Local Health Depart-ment guidelines. It is in the best interest of not only our members, but for everyone in the state and country. We MUST be RESPONSIBLE and stay away from others in order to curb the spread of COVID-19. Our Senior Center is currently closed through the month of April. It is possible we will have to accept this isolation for a longer period of time, but as of right now all pro-grams and activities here and elsewhere are postponed until it is safe to resume our normal lifestyles. As you may well know restaurants are allowed to prepare meals for take out orders so the Senior Center is planning to still give you the opportunity to enjoy our annual Spaghetti Dinner ‘For Take-Out Only’ on April 30th. Meals will be brought outside to your car to avoid personal contact. This important Fundraiser is the only event we have determined to be safe at this time and we hope many of you will help to make it a successful one. Our Day trips planned for the summer and fall are still a go at this time so please don’t hesitate to sign up today-some are filling quickly! Refunds will be made if cancellations are necessary due to the Coronavirus. Our staff here at the Senior Center is complying with the ‘SAFER AT HOME” order and only doing what is essential for it’s opera-tions. Our phone and email message system is in place so if you have questions, I will retrieve emails so don’t hesitate to reach us at seniors@wwt.net if you have internet capabilities. If you need to call, leave a message and I will return your call when possible. It is our hope that we all take this seriously and continue to stay well so that we can enjoy our fabulous activities again when it is safe to do so. Please Take Good Care of Yourselves!
Sincerely,
Donna

Spaghetti Feed Take Out
Article written by: Lynda Cran
WELL HERE WE ARE AGAIN, ANOTHER MONTH HAS SLIPPED PAST US. NEWSLETTER TIME
IS UPON US.
AS I WRITE THIS, WE ARE CLOSED DUE TO THE CORONAVIRUS. IT IS SMART FOR US TO
TAKE THE NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS.
OUR BELOVED SENIORS ARE SO PRECIOUS TO US, WE WANT TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE ALL SAFE.
THE BIG GROUPS HERE FOR THE EXCERCISES, AND THE WEDNESDAY MEALS ARE THE REASON WE
HAVE CHOSEN TO CLOSE. HOPEFULLY THIS TOO SHALL PASS. WE LISTEN INTENTLY TO WHAT THE
CDC AND OUR HEALTH DEPARTMENT RECOMMEND.
WE WILL BE CLOSED FOR THE MONTH OF APRIL UNLESS ITS RECOMMENDED THAT WE STAY CLOSED
LONGER.
WE ARE SORRY YOU ARE MISSING ALL THE ACTIVITIES HERE, BUT WE WANT TO PROTECT YOU.
BE HAPPY! LYNDA

DESCRIPTION:
The citizens of River City have got trouble… That’s a capital T, that rhymes with P and stands for “Professor” Harold Hill. He’s a charming, fast-talkin’ traveling salesman who goes city to city starting youth marching bands. Hill promises to teach the kids and raises the money to purchase the instru-ments and uniforms. There’s just one person who can’t tell the difference between a trombone and a treble clef – Professor Hill. Everyone is simply enamored by Professor Hill, everyone except for the suspicious town librarian, Marian Paroo. Marian sees right through Professor Hill’s marching band scheme. She’s ready to tell Professor Hill off until she sees her self-conscious little brother, Winthrop, shed his shyness when he picks up a shiny, new cornet. The trouble really begins when Marian’s heart beats a little faster for Professor Hill. Get into a little trouble with Meredith Willson’s five-time Tony Award-winning musical featuring the unforgettable songs “Seventy-Six Trombones,” “Ya Got Trouble,” “Wells Fargo Wagon” and “Till There Was You.” Don’t miss this classic, all-American musical for every
generation! Sign Up Today!!!

“My first visit to a St. Paul Saints game and I was pleasantly surprised! Great seats, lots of food options, great venue and The City of Baseball Museum was interesting. Zany announcers and games. A lot more fun than your typical ballgame! I’ll definitely go again!
