ALTAR FLOWERS
Ascension Altar Society supports the Church by supply-
ing the host and wine that is consecrated during each
Mass and that our families receive as the Holy Eucharist.
Another area that they cover every week is the altar flow-
ers, you can request an arrangement to be purchased in
memory of or to commemorate a special occasion by con-
tacting the parish secretary (512)321.3552. The cost is
$40 you can take the arrangement home after Sunday’s
Mass or choose to have it displayed all week.
GOSPEL MEDITATION
Thomas needed “to see” in order to believe. This week try to
pray and meditate on the lines of our Creed, “I believe in one
God …maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and
invisible.”
Tomás necesitaba "ver" para creer. Esta semana trate de orar
y meditar sobre las frases de nuestro Credo, "Creo en un solo
Dios...creador del cielo y de la tierra, de todo lo visible e
invisible".

THANKS FROM K OF C FOR SUPPORT OF
"SATURDAY KNIGHT LIVE" EVENT
The Knights of Columbus wish to thank all Ascension Parishioners
and staff and of course, Father Ramiro, for the support and attend-
ance at our recent community fundraiser event, "Saturday Knight
Live" Reverse Raffle and Dinner on Saturday, March 28th. The
event was very successful with lot's of fun for all attending. Your
support will continue to play a key role in our success. There is no
way to fully express our gratitude for your loyalty and support. We
at the Bastrop Knights of Columbus Ascension Council 14943 are
continually inspired by the the dedication and generosity of all
those who support our efforts. We plan to do it again by popular
demand in early April 2016!
2ND COLLECTION FOR THIS WEEKEND To minister to a rapidly growing population, the Diocese of Austin
must ensure it has an ample number of priests to celebrate the sacra-
ments, preach God’s word and guide us on our journey with Christ. To
ensure our priests are well-prepared, a man in formation will pursue a
quality education in philosophy, theology and pastoral care. Seminari-
an education and formation in the Diocese of Austin can take up to
nine years. Financial impediments should never prevent men from
responding to God’s call to the priesthood. Most financial support for
priests and seminarians is made available from the Catholic Services
Appeal and a Seminarian Endowment in the Catholic Foundation, but
the needs are far greater than our annual appeal can support. This spe-
cial collection provides additional support for this very important ef-
fort. Please be generous in your support of this most worthy cause.
