¡Felices vacaciones!

Dear Mary,
I’m writing to you from Montreal, Canada. My family and Iare here for three days and we are having a great time.Look at the pictures. Montreal is a very cold city in thewinter and there is a lot of snow, but we don’t feel cold. There is an area of the city under our hotel. Shops, restaurants, cinemas and the trains are underground. Wecan go there without going outside. We just take the liftdown. Now I’m going to one of Montreal’s famous Frenchrestaurants. (Yum – I hear the crepes are delicious!)

Good evening. Here’s this weekend’s weather forecast forsome cities around the United States.
New York City will be hot this weekend. Temperatureswill be unusually high for this time of year.
Get your T-shirts, shorts and sun-hats out of the closetbecause you’re going to need them until Sunday.Remember to drink plenty of water and don’t stay in thesun for too long.
A cool breeze from the Pacific Ocean will hit the SanFrancisco area. Weather conditions will be pleasantduring the day but much colder in the evenings. Dressin layers; T-shirts under a sweater and a jacket for theevenings will be the best choice if you’re going to be outfor many hours. But don’t worry, it won’t rain beforeTuesday.
If you’re in Chicago and planning to be outdoors thisweekend, plan again. Heavy rainstorms will begin byearly morning, so make sure you take your umbrellaand raincoat with you for the next few days.
