Anomalous Clementine Mission Photos

DESCRIPTION

This little document was compiled from the Clementine Lunar Image Browser by me. The images are taken directly from that site & they are of weirdly & very precisely made blurs, some of which are triangular. Others are of rectangles in otherwise perfectly clear images. My personal favorite would be an enormous cactus shaped blur on the far side of the moon. Whatever you might think, you can check these for yourself online.

All the photos you see here came from the Clementine Lunar Image Browser site:http://www.cmf.nrl.navy.mil/clementine/clib/

Each photo shown here was taken from the site at a resolution of 1 pixel equals 1 kilometer & a size of 768 X 768.

The first photo you see was taken at a resolution of 1 pixel equals 2 kilometers due the large area of anomalies.

Each photo – taken “as is” from the site – is followed by an enhanced version of the same image. All images that are enhanced, were enhanced using the GIMP's Unsharp Filter at default settings, unless otherwise specified.

Each photo has the latitude and longitude listed with it underneath.

You can search for each of these locations by latitude and longitude at the site mentioned above. Be sure to use the same settings I did if you want to see the anomalies.

Please note that the image quality from this site is not the best to begin with, but these images should still prove interesting.
