The PE department is collecting Box Tops for Education. Please turn

them in to your PE/Health teacher.

KEA Fannie May Holiday Fundraiser

The KEA Fannie May fundraiser provides scholarships for former Kirby 140 students attending Andrew high school and planning a career in education. Orders must

be placed by Friday, Nov. 10th to receive by Christmas. Prices are 10% off retail and orders are

shipped to your home.

Family Reading NightFamily Reading Night is

Thursday, Nov. 7th! Turn off the TV and read for 20

minutes to be entered into a raffle for one $5 Starbucks

gift card per grade! More information and parent

6th/7th Girls Basketball

Congratulations to the 6th/7th grade Lady Patriots

on their 32-20 victory yesterday at Simmons! The

team is now 4-3 on the season!

Chorus Thursday’s Chorus rehearsal has been

cancelled!

8th Grade Girls BasketballCongratulations to the

Patriots on their 29-12 win over Simmons last night!

The team was led in scoring by Aaliyah Walker and Bella Lemus! Great job

girls!

Jazz BandJazz Band rehearses at Prairie View every Wednesday after school from

4:00-5:15 pm.

Respond Now Winter Clothing Drive

Student Council is sponsoring a Winter Clothing Drive through

Friday, Nov. 17th. New and ”gently used” coats, mittens, gloves, hats and scarves are being collected in the boxes

outside of the Commons.

IntramuralsIntramurals are held each week here at

Grissom. Volleyball intramurals are held on Tuesdays, and Basketball intramurals are held on Thursdays. All intramurals are held from

7:45-8:25 am.

Student SupportBefore and after school

Student Support is offered from 8:00-8:35 am each

morning, and from 3:10-4:05 pm Monday through Thursday.

You must arrive at the beginning of the session and

stay for the whole time!

Water Bottle Filling Station Challenge

Last year Grissom Patriots saved over 6,600 plastic water bottles

from ending up in landfills by using the water bottle filling stations throughout the building. Please

remember to use these instead of plastic bottles. So far this year, we’ve saved 3,446 bottles from

landfills! Let’s beat last year’s total!
