ANIMALS IN DANGER

HOW CAN WE HELP THEM?

Many animals are in danger.

The pandas in China are in danger because people are cutting down the bamboo that they eat.

THE BLUE WHALE IS IN DANGER.

The blue whales in the oceans don’t have enough krill to eat, and people hunt them.

The elephants are in danger.

The elephants in Africa and India are in danger because people are hunting them, to get ivory from their tusks.

The polar bear is in danger.

The polar bears are in danger because ice in the North pole is melting, and people hunt them.

The koalas are also in danger.

The koalas live in forests in Australia.They eat Eucalyptus leaves that have water, but people are cutting down the trees.

The WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature) protects animals and their homes.

Today, hunting animals and cutting trees is very limited, thanks to what the WWF is doing.

The panda is the symbol of the WWF.

If we want the pandas, koalas, whales, bears, elephants and more animals to live in this world, we have to protect them.

There are many things we can do.

We can demonstrate for animal rights.

What else?

We can limit animal hunting by law.

What else?

We can write about animals in danger in the newspaper, and report on them on TV.

We must take care of the animals if we want them in our world.
