because of COVID-19, we have been looking for ways to keep you connected to theatre in general and Lakeside Little Theatre in

The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde directed by David Goldman
The project was filmed and edited by Wayne Willis Waterman, who is presently in Portland, using the Zoom and OBS Ninja platforms. To enhance realism, JeanMarie Harmon managed the teleprompter, which allowed the actors to look in the camera. The cast, who mostly performed independently from their homes, includes: • Donna Burroughs as Miss Prism • Richard Cohn-Lee as Merriman • Mark Donaldson as John Worthing • Marsha Carson Heaton as Lady Bracknell • Mark Heaton as Lane • Johanna Labadie as Cecily Cardew • Dave McIntosh as Rev. No experience necessary
This two hour session is limited to 10 participants -

Improvisational theatre, often called improvisation or improv, is the form of theatre, often comedy, in which most or all of what is performed is unplanned or unscripted: created spontaneously by the performers. The afternoon session will be comprised of various exercises to hone your listening skills, ability to react and use your creativity. Yes and, the emphasis is on having fun! The login details for the Zoom session will be sent to participants on the morning of the 19th. You'll need to download the app
on your tablet or phone from your app store. If you'll be using your laptop or desktop computer, to sign up go to https://zoom.us/.
The saying from improv is “bring a brick, not a cathedral.” Basically, a successful improviser should come into a scene with an open mind instead of demanding that their scene partner follow their lead. Collaboration is key.
