Dear Colleague!
UEGF is pleased to announce the first UEGF Professional Trainee Course!
The UEGF Education Programme Committee initiates the first postgraduate course in 2009 and invites 200 young gastroenterologists, radiologists, surgeons and physicians in the last year of internal medicine/paediatrics training to participate in a two-day course on “Management of Biliary Diseases”.
The UEGF Professional Trainee Course takes place at the AMC-EPGS Amsterdam from Friday to Saturday, September 18-19, 2009 and offers new insights into some of the most important issues facing gastro-enterologists today. It is designed to assist junior faculty and trainees in gastroenterology and hepatology in developing their skills in order to succeed in a highly competitive academic environment.
The purpose of this meeting is to bring together physicians who are interested in gaining a better understanding of biliary diseases and related functional GI disorders. Attendees will enlarge their scientific knowledge and gain hands-on experience while applying state-of-the-art concepts and diagnosing patients’ cases.
The programme of the workshop presents a mixture of state-of-the-art lectures on Friday and practical skill training sessions on Saturday. Sessions will cover the latest science and clinical information, including diagnostic and treatment issues and expose participants to a number of real-life examples. The primary goal of the UEGF Education Programme Committee is to organize a unique postgraduate course with a multidisciplinary approach providing intense scientific interaction and a high-quality educational training.
We are pleased to announce that UEGF will cover 1 night accommodation (Sept. 18-19, 2009) as well as free dinner and group meals. A course syllabus will be distributed to the participants who are responsible for their own travel bookings.
To participate, please submit your online application and curriculum vitae on www.uegf.org.Deadline for application: June 28, 2009 Selection is based on criteria of academic excellence, age, regional and gender representation. UEGF will charge a registration fee of EUR 100 to all participants of the course.
