The Bargaining Team Committee is made
up of the executive committee plus two
other members in good standing At this
time there are no candidates other than
the executive committee members
The PNCC is made up of the PNCC Chair
and representatives of other units as
appointed by the executive committee
Eduarda DaSilva-Winterburn and Tammy
Bates from Portland Metro Whole Blood
Jennifer Zimmerman from Apheresis
Jan Hopkins from Southern Oregon and
Barbara Tucker from Klamath Falls have
expressed an interest in joining this
committee
According to the Bylaws at the discretion
of the executive committee where only
one qualified candidate is nominated for a
position an election will not occur for that
position and the single qualified candidate
will be awarded the position
The NURSE Corps
Scholarship Program is a
federal program that assists
students accepted or enrolled
in qualified nursing programs
with tuition and other
expenses in exchange for
working in an eligible
Critical Shortage Facility
after graduation

Former Chief Medical Officer (CMO) for the
American Red Cross (ARC) Dr Mary Joe Drew
will be presenting a two hour training ldquoCaring for the
Blood Donor with Medical Complications such
as Citrate Toxicity and Vasovagal Reactionsrdquo
June 18 2014 from 600 - 800 pm
Dr Drew received her MD from the University of Colorado
and is Board Certified in Clinical Pathology and Blood
BankingTransfusion Medicine She was Chief Medical
Officer for the American Red Cross-Pacific Northwest Region
from September 2007 to July 2013 Her responsibilities
included oversight of medical aspects of blood donor
operations of a blood collection center collecting 240000
donations per year
Following the training we will have a question and answer
session Pizza will be provided
