AMBASSADORS OF GOODWILL IMPLEMENTING RULES AND
REGULATIONS
1. "MR. AND MS. AMBASSADORS OF GOODWILL” is a search of best personality, looks and wit
for young NFJPIAN’s to serve as ambassadors of the National Federation of Junior Philippine
Institute of Accountants, Western Mindanao Council in promoting Environmental Concerns and
Issues.
2. The search is open to all who meet the following minimum requirements:
2.1. A bona fide member of National Federation of Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants,
Western Mindanao Council
2.2. Of Good Moral Character
2.3. Must be passionate about environmental, agricultural and social issues
3. The respective local chapters will choose one pair to be their representative according to their own set
of criteria.
4. The candidates will compete on the following categories :
4.1. Pirate wear
4.2. Beach/Resort Wear
4.3. Talent Competition;
4.4. Formal Wear
4.5. Question and Answer Portion.
5. PRE-PAGEANT NIGHT: September 23, 2011
5.1. Presentation of Candidates -Candidates will present themselves on the pre-pageant night during
the RMYC Acquaintance Night.
5.2. Talent Competition - Each candidate will be given a maximum of three (3) minutes for their
talent presentation. They are to be rated according to the following criteria:
5.2.1. Execution 70%
5.2.2. Audience Appeal 30%
5.3. Interview – An interview portion will be given to each candidate for the purpose of knowing
them better. However, their answers will not be judged and thus will not affect the candidate’s
scores. During the interview, each candidate will pick a number corresponding to a picture/video
about environmental/social issues. They will be given two (2) minutes to discuss the
environmental issue presented in the screen and what he/she can contribute to manage or solve
the problem.
Note: Members of the Executive Board (NFJPIA-WMC Officers and Local Chapter Presidents) are prohibited from joining any contest.
6. PAGEANT NIGHT: September 24, 2011.
6.1. Theme Costume - In the presentation of candidates during the Pageant Night, candidates will be
in their Pirate Costume. They will be rated according to its Design:
6.1.1. Poise 50%
6.1.2. Bearing 50%
7. Beach/Resort wear - in this category candidates will be required to wear swimwear that highlights
their physical body to satisfy the criteria:
7.1. Figure 50%
7.2. Beauty 30%
7.3. Poise & Bearing 20%
8. Formal Wear - candidates must show proper poise and bearing while in their formal attire. They will
be rated based on design and fitting
8.1. Poise 50%
8.2. Bearing 50%
9. The overall criteria for the competition is as follows:
9.1. Intelligence 30%
9.2. Looks 30%
9.3. Poise & Personality 20%
9.4. Votes 20%
10. Awards & Prizes-The following Special Awards and the corresponding prizes will be given to
candidate that tops each category:
10.1. Best in Theme Costume Sash
10.2. Best in Beach/Resort wear Sash
10.3. Best in Talent Sash
10.4. Best in Long Gown Sash
10.5. Most Photogenic Sash
10.6. Congeniality Award Sash
10.7. People’s Choice Award Sash
The Major Awards and Prizes are the following:
1. Mr and Ms AOG 2011 Crown + Sash + trophy
2. 1st Runner up Mr and Ms AOG 2011 Crown + Sash + trophy

GENERAL QUIZ BOWL IMPLEMENTING RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. Team Composition and Registration
1.1. Each team shall be composed of three bona fide members of National Federation of Junior
Philippine Institute of Accountants- Western Mindanao Council.
1.2. Only one team will represent each local chapter.
2. Coverage of the quiz bowl includes
2.1. Sports
2.2. History
2.3. Entertainment
2.4. Math
2.5. Science
2.6. General Knowledge
3. Contest Proper
3.1. Contest proper shall begin on September 24, 2011.
3.2. The contest shall be divided into three (3) rounds:
3.2.1. First Round – 10 Questions – 2 points each
3.2.2. Second Round – 10 Questions – 5 points each
3.2.3. Third Round – 10 Questions – 10 points each
3.3. Questions shall be read twice by the quizmaster. Only after reading the second question shall
each team write down their answers on their answer boards.
3.4. The team must answer the questions within the specified time in a correct spelling. Ten seconds
is allotted for each question unless specified. A continuous ringing of the bell signifies that ten
seconds has already lapsed and each team must raise their answer boards immediately. Teams
who fail to do so will be given first offense. Two offenses committed automatically disqualify
the team.
3.5. For multiple-choice questions, the team must write the letter of the correct answer in upper case
(capitalized).
3.6. For problem-solving questions, thirty seconds is allotted. The team must write the quantity and
the appropriate unit of measurement (Ex. 10.55 meters, 25 mangoes). For numerical answers,
they must be rounded off to two decimal places (fractional part).
3.7. Any member of the team can make a complaint or query. It shall be done before the reading of
the next question.
3.8. Questions will be asked to break the tie. It will be randomly picked up from any category.

3.9. The decision of the panel of judges shall be final and unappealable.
3.10. The teams with the first three highest accumulated scores will be declared champion, first
and second runners-up.
4. The members of the winning teams shall receive certificates and medals. All the participants shall be
given certificates of participation.

“LYRIKO” SONG WRITING CONTEST IMPLEMENTING RULES AND
REGULATION
1. General Guidelines
1.1. The NFJPIA song writing contest is open to all bona fide members of the Natinal Federation of
Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants- Western Mindanao Council.
1.2. Song entry does not require any theme as long as it relates to the advocacies of NFJPIA-WMC
(i.e. friendship, academic excellence, etc.)
1.3. Each song submitted must be contestant's original work. Songs may not exceed five (4) minutes
in length. Only one entry per contestant is allowed. However, a maximum of two entries per
Local Chapter is accepted.
1.4. Entries should be sent to nfjpiawmc.yahoo.com.
1.5. All entries will be subject to prejudging to determine the top 3 contestants. These will be chosen
by a select panel of judges. Songs will be judged based on melody, composition, originality and
lyrics (when applicable). The quality of performance and production will not be considered.
1.6. The top 3 three contestants will present their entries during the Regional Mid-year convention on
September 23, 2011. The rankings in the previous judgments will be disregarded.
1.7. Deadline for submission of entries is on August 19, 2011, 11:59pm.
1.8. Prejudging of entries: August 20-27, 2011
1.9. Top 3 contestants will be announced on September 05, 2011
1.10. Criteria for porejudging:

1.10.2. Composition/lyrics 30%
1.10.3. Originality 30%
1.11. Criteria for final judging
1.11.1. Online votes(from Sept 5-20, 2011, 11:59pm) 50%

SHIRT DESIGN MAKING CONTEST IMPLEMENTING RULES AND
REGULATIONS
1. The Shirt design making Open to all bona fide members of Junior Philippine institute of
Accountants
1.1. The design should adhere with the Regional Mid-Year Convention’s theme:
1.2. The design must contain the following:
1.3. The organization's acronym "NFJPIA-WMC"
1.4. The JPIA Logo but can be mixed with modern or whatsoever preferences you desire.
1.5. Designs may be created using any software editing tool
1.6. Designs should be JPG format. Dimensions are up to the participant as it depends on how it will
be placed in the shirt. (If you are using a software editing tool, please retain your hi-resolution
version of the design since this will be used in the final production)
1.7. Each design must also be placed in a t-shirt sample (Front and Back designs)
2. Criteria for Judging:
2.1. Online votes 100%
3. Each contestant may only send one entry. However, each local chapter may have as many entries as
they want. The designs must be emailed in JPEG or PNG format, together with designer’s name and
school, to nfjpiawmc@yahoo.com.
4. THEME: Live Live with F.A.I.T.H (Forming good Allies to Influence a Towering Humanity)
5. The design shall use any art medium deemed appropriate by the contestants provided that it is easy to
print and reproduce. Each entry should have a brief description of the art/scenario they are trying to
depict.
6. The design entries shall be scanned and published in the Facebook Account of NFJPIA-WMC for
three weeks to be subjected to voting by the members.
7. Deadline for submission of entries: July 21, 2011.
8. Online voting is from July 22-31, 2011 11:59 pm..
9. Awarding: September 23, 2011, during RMYC.
10. Prize nd Incentives
10.1. Owner of the winning tshirt design shall receive free shirt plus cash prize. The winning
design shall be used as the official NF-JPIA-WMC for the Regional Mid-Year Convention.
11. By submitting your design, you will be giving up all rights to the design over to NFJPIA.

A MINUTE OF FAME IMPLEMENTING RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. “A minute of fame” is a competition open to all individuals and groups who are bona fide
members of National Federation of Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants- Western
Mindanao Council.
2. Only one entry per local chapter is allowed.
3. Each contestant/group is given one minute to show off their talents to the crowd (singing,
dancing, poetry, painting, etc.)
4. Songs (if any) used in the performance must be appropriate and suitable. Foul taste in music
such as profanity will result in disqualification.
5. Use of props is allowed as long as it will not cause any delay in the program and those that
may harm the performance of other groups.
6. Contestant/Groups may wear any costume/attire provided that costumes are decent and
secured.
7. Criteria Of Judging:
7.1. Originality 30%
7.2. Execution 40%
7.3. Concept 30%

“JUMP” SEARCH FOR BEST DANCE CREW IMPLEMENTING RULES AND
REGULATIONS
1. The dance competition is open to all dance groups composed of 5 to 8 bona fide members of
National Federation of Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants- Western Mindanao
Council.
2. Only one entry per local chapter is allowed.
3. The dance piece can be composed of any dance genre and routine should be a minimum of
three (3) minutes and maximum of five (4) minute performance.
4. Songs used in the performance must be appropriate and suitable. Foul taste in music such as
profanity will result in disqualification.
5. Use of props is allowed as long as it will not cause any delay in the program and those that
may harm the performance of other groups.
6. Groups may wear any costume/attire provided that costumes are decent and secured.
7. Criteria Of Judging:
7.1. Choreography 30%
7.2. Execution 30%
7.3. Originality 20%
7.4. Concept 20%

“VOICE” LITERARY COMPETITIONS IMPLEMENTING RULES AND
REGULATIONS
1. The literary competitions are open to all bona fide members of the National Federation of Junior
Philippine Institute of Accountants Western Mindanao Council.
2. The contest proper will be held on September 24, 2011. The time and location will be announced
beforehand. The theme will be announced during the contest proper.
3. The participant must be present ten minutes before the event. Otherwise, s/he will automatically
be disqualified.
4. Top 3 winners will be awarded with medals and certificates. All participants will be awarded
certificates of participation.
5. The decision of the Board of Judges(composed of three members) is final and irrevocable
6. All literary works will automatically become official property of the NFJPIA.
ESSAY WRITING CONTEST
1. A maximum of two (2) participants per local chapter is allowed to join the contest.
2. All essays must be done on the spot. Essays must be in English and shall consist of at least
500 words.
3. The competition starts as soon as the specific topic is given. Participants will be given two
(2) hours to finish the essay. The participants must be informed thirty minutes prior to the
end of the competition to wrap up their essay.
4. Criteria for judging:
4.1. ORIGINALITY and COMMUNICATION 40%
4.2. CONTENT 40%
4.3. WRITING MECHANICS 20%
POEM WRITING
1. A maximum of two (2) participants per local chapter is allowed to join the contest.
2. All poems must be done on the spot. Poems must be 30 lines or fewer. All entries must be
original works.
3. The competition starts as soon as the specific topic is given. Each participant will be
given one (1) hour to finish the poem. The participants must be informed thirty minutes
prior to the end of the competition to wrap up their essay.
4. Criteria for judging:
a. ORIGINALITY and COMMUNICATION 40%
b. CONTENT 40%
c. WRITING MECHANICS 20%

EXTEMPORANEOUS SPEECH CONTEST
1. Only one (1) participant per local chapter is allowed to join.
2. Each participant will pick a certain line or question. He/she will be given three minutes to
prepare and another three minutes to speak.
3. The speeches will be judged according to the following criteria
3.1. CONTENT 40%
3.2. DELIVERY 30%
3.3. IMPACT. 30%
4. A 2 point deduction will be given for every 30-second extension in the allotted time.
