The Alumni endowment is considered the significant value enhancer for a University and institution world
over to support a network of former graduates who will, in turn, help to raise the profile of the University.
Amity University Haryana, Gurugram strongly believes in establishing close tie with its alumni
working across the globe as they are the true ‘brand ambassadors’ of Amity taking forward the values and
sanskars they had learned in the University. They are the ‘torch bearers’ showing the path of growth &
development and contributing to the society and nation building. To further strengthen the tie with
its alumni, the Amity Business School and Amity School of Engineering & Technology, Amity Institute of
Information Technology and Amity Institute of Bio-technology at AUH organized their ‘alumni meet’
on September 8th and 22nd, 2018 respectively.

Welcoming the Alumni and their families, Prof. (Dr.) P.B. Sharma –
Hon’ble Vice Chancellor expressed his joy and exhilaration in
welcoming the Alumni back in University Campus. He felicitated all
Alumni of Amity University Gurugram as brand ambassadors of the
University and extended warm greetings to the Alumni on behalf of
Dr. Aseem Chauhan, Hon’ble Chancellor – Amity University Gurugram.
Prof. Sharma called upon the Alumni to stay connected by frequently
visiting the University.
He said “I was truly delighted to meet a good number of our Alumni at
the recent Alumni meet at AUG and was so happy to note that they all
have made excellent progress in achieving their professional goals.
Our Alumni office would be in regular touch with you through Alumni
Newsletter and though mails to keep you all fully informed on the
activities and achievements of AUG, your Alma-mater”.
He called upon the Alumni to participate meaningfully in the development
of the action and take part in institutional development in the form of
assisting in the establishment of research centres, research laboratories
and incubator/innovation centers, which is generally the trend world over
with regard to prestigious universities such as Harvard, MIT, Stanford etc.
It gives me great pleasure to reach our alumni. We feel extremely
proud when we hear about your achievements. Remember, for an
AMITIAN, even SKY is not the limit. You are contributing to nation
building in a major way. We all are proud of your success.

Prof. (Dr.) Padmakali Banerjee – Hon’ble Pro Vice Chancellor in her welcome
address expressed her happiness, joy and pride in having the Alumni
back on Campus. She said that Amity University Gurugram is proud of their
accomplishments. Dr. Banerjee recalled the early days of the University since
2010 and appreciated the role of successive batches, now Alumni, who
helped in the growth of the University. In her address she shared with the
audience the views of Dr. Aseem Chauhan – Hon’ble Chancellor of Amity
University Gurugram about the need and spirit of life-long learning.
She reiterated that a university/institution is known for its Alumni and called
upon them to take initiatives in institution building. She pointed out that in
years to come four T’s – Touch, Technology, Team, and Transformation – will be
very critical for all round development. In this context she talked about the role
of brainstorming and discussion to accomplish big things. In her address she
appreciated the role of Amity Alumni in socio-economic progress of the
country. Dr. Banerjee mentioned that Amity has provided students with an
enabling environment for strengthening the human values and sanskars,
which are so strongly ingrained in the Alumni. She also called upon the Alumni
and current students to get involved in CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility)
activities as much as possible as part of community development endeavor. In
the end she congratulated all Alumni for their accomplishments and wished all
the Alumni and their families the very best.

In his welcome address, Dr. R.C. Sharma extended warm welcome to all
Alumni. As founding Director ABS and Vice Chancellor of AUG he recalled
the formative years of Amity Business School and narrated some stories of
those days. He appreciated the indomitable spirit of the students,
particularly the early batches, while facing challenges in institute building.
On the occasion Dr. Sharma advised the Alumni and current students on
three tips for their professional life:
(1) Remain patient all the time in order to achieve success in career path;
(2) Pay utmost loyalty to the organization where employed…it pays in the
long run with rich dividends;
(3) Always carry on the spirit of self-development…work hard…and not to
give up under any circumstances. He said that all these three factors are
bound to pay significant role in uilding a successful career in professional
journey.
Amity Business School (ABS), Amity University
Gurugram organized its Annual Alumni Meet in the
form of a Reunion on September 08, 2018. This was a
glittering celebration in ABS Alumni participated in
large number with nostalgic fervor and excitement to
reminiscent their time in their Alma Mater. The
Alumni who came on the occasion ranged from the
very first batch i.e. 2001-03 of Masters Program in
Business Administration to the latest batch 2016-
2018. It was good to see many of our Alumni are well
established in their career and holding responsible
positions such as Founders - Entrepreneurs, CEOs,
Directors, etc. The aim of the Reunion was to foster
camaraderie, common bonding and cherish the
memories of their good old days at ABS with their
peers, faculty members and university officials.
The inaugural session of Reminiscence - 2018 was
initiated with AUG dignitaries the Hon’ble VC, Hon’ble
Former founder VC, Hon’ble Dy. VC, Hon’ble Pro VC, Dean-
Student Welfare and Dy. Director, ABS donning the
dais, lighting the inaugural lamp and finally
through bonding and connecting with the alumni
by their extempore speech.
The Reminiscence-2018, registered by ABS alumni
who joined along with their spouses, all ABS and
campus-resident AUG faculty members & their
families, around 150 ongoing MBA I and III semester
students and highest dignitaries of AUG along with on-
duty AUG staff; for an informal interaction between
them for high tea at sprawling foyer of AUG, D Block
which culminated in a state of oneness after a long
gap through recognizing and reciprocating with
one another.
The most prominent outcome through this alumni
experience churning is the statement by one of the
alumni that out of every ten persons he meets as
customer, vendor and corporate personnel, almost two
come out as Amity Alumni, this expresses the strength
and soft power of Alumni Endowment of Amity.
ABS ALUMNI MEET- SEPT. 8TH, 2018
Dr. Vikas Madhukar in his remarks congratulated all Alumni and their
families and wished them the very best for future. He also pointed out
the importance of Alumni connect and reiterated the need for
brainstorming sessions with Alumni for all round institutional
development. On the aspect of brainstorming, Dr. Madhukar stressed
upon the need for a collaborative approach on following issues:
• Mentoring students • Guest lectures
• Career insights • Consulting & training
• Summer internships • Live projects
Dr Madhukar concluded his remarks by appreciating the efforts and
contribution of alumni in their respective work domain and also for

Amity University Gurugram
Amity School of Engineering and Technology (ASET),
AUG, in conjunction with Amity Institute of Biotechnology
(AIB) and Amity Institute of Information Technology
(AIIT) organized its first Alumni Meet ‘Reminiscence,
2018’ on 22nd of September, 2018at D Block,
Amity University Haryana to develop and strengthen
ties between Alumni with their
respect departments and schools. 43
alumni from different departments
and different graduating years marked
their presence at the meet along with
their family members.
Alumni and their accompanied family
members were given a warm welcome
by the students and faculty members
of the schools. Before the commencement
of the program, during registration
alumni enthusiastically met with their
batch mates, junior students and
faculty members.
The program commenced by a welcome address by
former Director of AIB, Prof (Dr.) S. M. Paul Khurana
who heartedly welcomed the alumni and expressed
his joy by sharing his delightful thoughts about the
significance of a strong connect between an Alumnus
and his/her Alma Mater.
This Alumni Meet facilitated a platform for the
Alumni as well as for the schools to achieve mutual
and diverse benefits including
ca ree r s e r v i ce s , ne twork ing
opportunities, invited expert talks,
guest lectures and the opportunity
to connect with and inspire students
and graduates. It enabled and
opened new channels for the Alumni
to engage with departmental
research, innovations and future
goals, in order that each Alumnus feels
welcome and appreciated as an
affiliate of Amity University Haryana.
Alumni Meet ‘Reminiscence, 2018’
were concluded by extending a vote of thanks to one
and all present by the anchors.
ASET-AIB ALUMNI MEET- SEP. 22ND 2018
After the inaugural session, the next excitement during Reminiscence 2018 was the scintillating cultural program
organized by Amity Cultural Team. This was a program primarily to make Alumni walk through their good old days
and memories down the line when they were students at Amity University Gurugram. This was an excellent
performance to showcase talent and initiatives taken by the current students. There were exciting games such as
Paper Dance, Musical Chair, etc. where Alumni took part in a wholehearted manner. The winners of all games were
awarded prizes. The cultural program comprised duo dances, songs, and short plays in the form of skits, group
dances, and indoor games and reached its climax with the glittering Fashion Show by Amity University Gurugram
students. Overall the cultural program was the centre-piece of attraction in the Reminiscence 2018 for the
audience and charged up everybody not only with fun but a renewed vigor to move forward.

Mr. Sandeep Chaudhary Learning & Development Professional at
DXLTechnologies.
Mr. Chaudhary took the audience back to the very first day at Amity
Gurugram Campus and his interactions with Dr. R.C. Sharma. He also
recalled his meeting with the Hon’ble Founder President Dr. Ashok
Chauhan who predicted that one day Amity University Gurugram will be
a beaming place with more than 10,000 students studying. He recalled
how the Founder President was kind enough in dictating an offer letter
that led him to pursue Ph.D. Program at Amity University Gurugram and
doing a research project. He expressed his gratefulness to his Alma
Mater. Now in corporate life in DXL Technologies, he is meeting with
Amitians in HR Department and even recruiting Amitians. Mr.
Chaudhary stressed upon the need of 3Cs – Connect, Collaborate, and
Create – to be successful in career.

Mr. Rishi in his remarks said that he is proud of Amity University as a
brand name. Because of Amity University’s training he is currently running
successfully a real estate company in Gurugram and his company is one of
the top 10 companies in the city in the area of real estate.

Mr. Rajan talked about his tenure in TCI in Bangalore and his current
employment at Apollo B.P. He praised Amity University faculty for doing
hard work in making students competent to work in corporate world.

Mr. Rao recalled his days in Amity University and said that Amity
nurtures talent. He talked about how ABS developed a leader in
him starting from his work in corporate world to an

Justice Jyoti Mehra thanked Amity Business School and its
Founders for crafting her to be a better person. She urged the
audience not to give up with dreams at any point of time in life

and grateful to all those people who help in going through the
ups and downs of life. She also urged the audience to remain
grounded always and thankful to the Almighty all the time.
