Our Guidance:

During the COVID-19 impact, Alliant has been

joining efforts with partnerships to appropriately plan

for providing alternative approaches for meeting

clinical practice, field experience, and performance

assessment requirements. We are working daily

with our agencies to determine the best plans of

action and working to implement those plans as

efficiently as possible.

In order to provide flexibility for candidates during this time, Clinical Practice

requirements may be met through:

Criteria for meeting requirements when considering clinical practice alternatives:

Clinical practice must be under the supervision of an experienced

educator: the program supervisor and/or the district-employed supervisor.

• Online Learning – DSP or School Master Teacher

• University Mentor/Clinical Practice Course Instructor

A teacher candidate should be planning instruction, delivering

instruction, reflecting on instruction, or analyzing student work

with the advice and guidance of the experienced educator.
