All foams soak it up,KerraFoam™ locks it up
Locks in moisture and helps to reduce maceration
Older generation foam dressings claim superior fluid handling by virtue of their MVTR rates
not absorption rates. However, MVTR is fine under laboratory conditions but in a clinical
situation, with changes in humidity under bandages and temperature changes means that
MVTR can reduce, substantially increasing risk of maceration.7
Excellent retention capabilities
KerraFoam Gentle Border also has excellent fluid retention capabilities in comparison to other foam
dressings – retaining more than double that of the two leading foam brands1. Instantly locking
harmful excess exudate away from the skin helps to prevent maceration and wound edge breakdown.
Highly comfortable and conformable
Soft silicone adhesive helps to prevent skin stripping.6
Adheres well to awkward areas without limiting movement.
Introducingthe NEW super smart foam dressing
Unlike traditional foams, KerraFoam Gentle Border’s absorbent core and
foam pad absorbs more liquid than the leading competitors,1 reducing
maceration.2 It also locks bacteria3 and MMPs4 away from the wound bed.
Lateral wicking technology increases capacity and wear-time,5 and a soft
silicone adhesive contact layer helps to prevent painful dressing changes
and skin stripping.6 All the softness and comfort you expect from a foam,
KerraFoam Gentle Border is an intelligent fl uid management system.
