Message from CEO
Withanoptimisticheart,webeganour2ndyear;focusingonrefiningsuccessful projects to acheive our mission whilst looking at operational expan-sion and sustainability. COVID-19 was an unexpected hit to our major activities in the middle of our project year, however, with resilience and sheer determi-nation we bounced back stronger than the start of the year.Wereflectedoninnovative ways to reach youths in our FounORock program and saw over 1000 viewers for the faith-based online show. We used the budget from cancelled projects to feed over 16 families during the lockdown period. Our annual House of Grace Program fed nearly 200 families in 6 communities and provided medical supplies to a health facility in Dakwa.
Over 8000 people applied for our Full National Scholarship and we began our Widows entrepreneurship program with 10 successful business owners lookingtodigitisetheirbusinesses.Despiteincreasingunemploymentafflictingthe global landscape we welcomed 3 full-term permanent employees this year and over 30 volunteers.
“May the flowers remind us why the rain was so necessary” - Oku
As we move into our 3rd year, we should be looking at exponential operational growth and reaching more Nigerian States with our mission. We have a strong quality driven focus and passionate employees/volunteers so we will be looking to strengthen our revenue generating capacity whilst focusing on a sustainable future. We pray for success ahead.

Our HistoryP-The Alex and Grace Izinyon Foundation (AGIF) was founded by Dr. Alex Aigbe Izinyon (SAN OFR) and Barr. Mrs. Grace Oluwayemisi Izinyon (in remembrance).
TheFoundationreflectsthebenevolenceofDrAlexandMrsGraceIzinyonbypromoting the well-being of the disadvantaged through our four pillars: health services, education, youth empowerment and poverty & inequity alleviation. Our founders were committed to helping the disadvantaged in their communities. Before the organisation was established, they reached many lives. Several of which are unaccounted for but included training and sponsoring several candidates through secondary and tertiary education, outreaches in Bauchi, Kogi, Abuja (Nigeria) and England (UK), reconstructing maternity homes and many more.
AGIFwasofficiallylaunchedinOctober2018andwithinthefirstyearoflaunch,empowered 139 youths, provided access to education for 87 individuals, reached 1362 individuals through outreaches and provided free medical and health services to1332personsinNigeria.ItisthefirmbeliefofAGIFthatthewell-beingofeverylife matters, is valuable and with minimal resources every human being can thrive and achieve purpose when stirred in the right direction.

However, thanks to the amazing team of AGIF, we were able to come up with strategies to combat the impact of the lockdown on some projects enabling us reach and promote the lives of the disadvantaged in our society, as is our mission.

“Considering the fact that my mum is a low income earner and I lost my dad, I couldn’t have imagined being able to pay my tuition by myself. So I was fortunate to be awarded with the AGIF full scholarship to study business administration at Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma. My tuition fee and all other expenses were covered
by AGIF and in 2019, I became a graduate all thanks to AGIF.Now looking back, I couldn’t have imagined myself being a graduate at this
point but because of what the foundation has done, I can now say I was able to complete my tertiary education without any fear of paying my
tuition fees and all other expenses.” Momoh David Eshiofune, a grateful
beneficiary of the AGIF Full Scholarship
Impact Stories
10 AGIF Annual Report 2019/20
One evening, 3 years ago precisely in November 2017, I was in my shop when I got shot on my right leg by armed robbers. I immediately started
receiving treatment at the hospital but after a couple of weeks of treatment, I could still not feel the leg and it felt lifeless. I complained to the doctor
who immediately sent me for assessment which revealed that my nerves, vessels, bones and soft tissue of my injured limb cannot be restored with
treatment and advised that amputation was necessary to save my life. I was rushed to the ICU and the surgery was carried out and that was
how I became an amputee with no hope of ever walking without the aid of crutches. I could not do business and so could not even
affordadvancedtreatmentoraprostheticsleg. Before AGIF intervention I had never accessed any health support
program similar to the FAHP program from any NGO, private firmorhealthinsuranceorganisation.Withfrequentcommunication
with the AGIF team, I got to Abuja and the team received me and I was immediatelytakentotheAderonkeRehabilitationNetworkofficewhereImet with the physiotherapist who measured and casted my stump for the
preparation of my customized prosthetics leg. It felt like a dream, after that the team took me to the hotel where I was lodged for the entire 2 weeks of
the treatment. The process was an experience that I will be forever grateful for, from the bottom of my heart I sincerely want to appreciate the good work that the foundation is doing especially how they have touched my life. Now I can
discard my crutches and in a couple of weeks I will no longer need a walking stick to aid my walking. Thank you to AGIF, God bless you.”
