Open Your Eyes, Ears and Minds• AIDS - More than 7,400 people become infected each day.• Climate change - Harm ecological systems and their biodiversity (which

will result in fewer services, livelihoods and income possibilities)• Conflict - The incidence of civil war globally has been rising over the

past 40 years. In the past 15 years, 80% of the world’s 20 poorest countries have suffered a major civil war.

• Development – Everyone has the right to achieve an acceptable standard of living.

• Education – Around 75 million primary school age children around the world aren't in school. Poor kids often can't go to school because they need to work to help their families survive.

• Employment – One billion people will come of working age within the next decade. Many aren't entering the workforce.

Open Your Eyes, Ears and Minds• Environment – 1 million people die from urban air pollution• Globalization – As economies and societies integrate, our

world grows smaller.• Health – too little care for birthing mothers, resulting in

over 30–40% of infant deaths• Infrastructure - 1.1 billion people lack access to safe water,

roughly one-sixth of the worlds population. And 2.4 billion or 40% of the worlds people lack access to adequate sanitation services.
