OBJECTIVE:This course provides aircraft technicians with the skills and knowledge required to successfully
perform unit maintenance tasks on the AH-64D Apache Longbow Helicopter mechanical systems.
RECOMMENDED FOR:Supervisory personnel and unit level repair technicians
PREREQUISITES:Students should meet the skill and experience requirements as defined in Table 2.
COURSE CONTENT:
This course provides the aircraft technician with knowledge of the major assemblies, subassemblies,and line replaceable units for AH-64D Helicopter mechanical systems. Discussions encompass the
use of applicable Peculiar Ground Support Equipment (PGSE), Interactive Electronic Technical
Manual (IETM), helicopter systems/components identification and operation, fault detection andisolation techniques and appropriate corrective actions.
Comprehensive classroom coverage consists of the purpose, location, description and operation of the
various AH-64D Mechanical Systems which include Data Management Systems, Airframe, Landing
Gear, Brakes, Electrical Power Generation System, Fuel System, Auxiliary Power Unit (APU),
Engines, Hydraulics, Pressurized Air System, Environmental Control Systems, Flight Controls,
Rotors and Drives. The classroom coverage also includes identification of the Fire Control Radar
(FCR), Armament and Avionics Systems.
The practical exercises provide students hands-on experience performing system and component
identification, servicing and adjustment technique identification, aircraft inspections and systems
operation. The students will perform electrical system power-up and power-down procedures, APU
operation and helicopter systems operation.
COURSE NUMBER: EPA-100, EPA CERTIFICATION 2 DAYS (16.0 HOURS)US Government personnel, or persons employed under US Government contracts, are required to
receive Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) certification training and testing for handling of

OBJECTIVE:This course will provide technicians with the skills and knowledge required to successfully perform
unit maintenance tasks on the AH-64D Longbow Apache Helicopter armament, electrical, avionics
and sighting systems.
RECOMMENDED FOR:Supervisory personnel and unit level repair technicians.
PREREQUISITES:Students should meet the skill and experience requirements as defined in Table 2.
COURSE CONTENT:

Pressurized Air System and Anti-Ice Electrical Systems, Hydraulic Electrical System, EnvironmentalControl Electrical System, Integrated Helmet and Display Sight System, Video Cassette Recorder,
Area Weapon System, External Stores System, Aerial Rocket System, Longbow HELLFIRE Modular
Missile System, Helicopter Boresighting. Radar Signal Detecting Set, Laser Detecting Set, Radar
Jammer Countermeasures and M139 Chaff Dispensing Set.
Practical exercises will consist of removing and installing system components and fault detection and
isolation of the above systems. The 30-mm gun, gun turret and ammunition handling system will be
removed, disassembled, assembled and reinstalled. The Target Acquisition Designation Sight/Pilot
Night Vision Sensor (TADS/PNVS) will be removed, disassembled, assembled and reinstalled. The
30-mm gun will be uploaded and downloaded using the aircraft-mounted side loader and the PGSE
loader. The missile system will be uploaded and downloaded.

APACHE COMPOSITE REPAIR COURSECRC-101
OBJECTIVE:This course will provide the student with the requisite skills for repairing AH-64 rotor blades and
composite structures. Training will be conducted using U.S. Army technical manuals as the
guidelines for inspection and repair criteria
RECOMMENDED FOR:Supervisory personnel and Intermediate (Bench) level structural repair technicians.
PREREQUISITES:Students should meet the following skill and experience requirement.
Previous experience or training in composite or fiberglass repairs.
COURSE CONTENT:A comprehensive coverage of composite construction, inspection requirements, damage limits,
repair criteria and repair procedures will be covered for the AH-64 helicopter and rotor blade.
Students will learn skills and techniques required to return rotor blades and composite structure to
serviceable status.
NOTES:
If training is requested at the Customers site, an additional cost will be charged for
components, tools, and test equipment shipped to the Customers site in support of
training.
Upon request a list of Consumables, Tools and Shop requirements will be Faxed for
training at the customers site. Rotor blades and structures that are used during training cannot be used on an aircraft.
