The story begins with the ending – this iconic photograph from the Jasper Yellowhead Museum and Archives shows the culmination of the tie logging that took place along the Whirlpool River in Jasper during the 1920s. It captures the success of delivery of railway ties to Henry House Flats – it also leads to the question of: How did the ties get here?
