SRIPURUSHOTTAMASAMARADHANA
By the benign grace of Lord Sri Hari, Sri Vayudeva and all Devatas & with the divine blessings of the great Swamijis ‐ Sri Jaya Tirtha, Sri Sripadaraja, Sri Vyasaraja, Sri Vadiraja, Sri Raghuttama, Sri Raghavendra, Sri Satya Gnana, Sri Satyadhyana, Sri Satyapramoda and the present pontiff of Sri Uttaradi Math Sri Satyatma Tirtha Swamiji, and our Vidya guru Sri Mahuli Gopalacharya ‐ the founder of Satyadhyana Vidyapeetha, Mumbai‐, we endeavour to carry out several satkarmas (noble deeds) on account of the holy Adhika Masa.
These Karyakramas are being held under the gracious presidentship of Pujya Sri Pt. Vidyasimhacharya Mahuli, the present Kulapati of Satyadhyana Vidyapeetha, Mumbai. He provides free food, lodging to over 200 students and teaches them everyday. He has shaped the personality and character of hundreds of Pundits. He has been the Preraka behind every good deed, the source of knowledge and inspiration of all religious acts. He graces the ocassion with his special discourse.
Satkarmas performed in Adhika Masa bring infinite punya, benefits and pleases Masa Niyamaka Lord Sri Purushottama immensely. Hence it has been proposed to perform Pravachana, Parayana, Homa, Laksha Deepotsava, Laksha Archana, Bhajana, Brahmana Pooja etc. for the welfare of one and all.
"GuruMahima"Pravachana
The great Sri Madhvacharya, and his direct disciples Sri Padmanabha Tirtharu, Sri Naraharti Tirtharu, Sri Maadhava Tirtharu, Sri Akshobhy Tirtharu, the renowned commentator of Sri Madhvacharya’s treatises Sri Jayatirtharu, Sri Sripadaraja swami, Sri Vyasaraja Swami, Sri Vadiraja Swami, Sri Raghuttama Swami, Sri Raghavendra Swami and many other great Gurus have dedicated their lives for the development of the Dvaita Philosophy. They undertook pilgrimage across the length and breadth of this country and spread Acharaya Madhva’s Philosophy.
The divine grace of all these Gurus is essential for attaining liberation. The mere remembrance of these Gurus helps us overcome all our difficulties. Special Discourses are organized during these 3 Days in which several scholars will trace the life history of these great Gurus and seek their blessings.
72MahaMantraHomas’:
Srimad Acharya in his Grantha “Tantra Sara” has prescribed various mantra Japas to be compulsorily performed by us for our salvation. These mantras eulogize the greatness of Paramatma, Lakshmi Devi, Brahma, Vayu Rudradi Devathagalu and invoke their blessings. Performing Homa chanting these maha mantras pleases these Devathas who bestow their blessing and special favors; they also help us achieve all our desired goals. It is proposed to organize Maha mantra Homa on all the three days
33'BruhatiSahasraHomas’:
The Bruhati Sahasra Mantras ‐the 1000 Mantras composed in
'Bruhati' Chandas ( a metre comprising 36 syllables)‐ are very dear to
Lord Sri Hari. The 72,000 forms of the Lord extolled in these Mantras
are also present in our body (36,000 masculine forms of the Lord in the
right side 'Nadi's and 36,000 feminine forms of the Lord in the left side
'Nadi's) and they control the days and nights of our 100 years of living.
Performing Homa by chanting these Bruhati Sahasra Mantras brings great punya. Thus in the Adhika Masa, 33 "Bruhati Sahasra Homas" are being performed.
33'PavamanaHomas’:
Lord Sri Hari and Sri Vayudeva are referred to as "Pavamana" ‐
because they remove our sins, eliminate our worldly distresses,
provide us punya as well as gnana, and take us to Moksha. Pavamana
sukta itself is the Neerajana ‐ the Mangala Aarathi to Lord Sri Hari.
Performing Homa by chanting this Pavamana Sukta is even more
beneficial: it removes all sins accumulated in one year and makes one
to be born as a learned Brahmana for the next seven births.
33‘Sudha'Parayana:
Brahmasutras are sacred and great text, which establishes the
true meanings of all Vedas, Puranas and other Shastras. Srimad
Acharya has written four texts to enlighten the meanings of these
Sutras. “ANUVYAKHYANA” is one among those sacred granthas. Shri
Jayatirtharu has written a commentary for this Anuvyakhyana and has
made known the real meanings. This is knowns as “Shriman
Nyayasudha”. This sacred text is very valuable.
Each sentence, word, and letter of this text, discloses the
greatness of the Supreme Lord Sri Hari. Learning this text, exposition of
this text and listening to the discourses on this Grantha are the very
great fortunes of our life, redress our sins and give worldly and
heavenly benefits.
Parayana of "Sudha Grantha" yields total welfare to this world,
and wards off many types of calamities, and evil influences in this
world. It gives all the desires that we seek.
Thus, to extol Sri Hari and for gaining Tatva Gnana as well as
all‐round prosperity, Sriman Nyaya Sudha Parayana is being
performed.
3333‘LakshmiShobane’Parayana The Lakshmi Shobana, composed by Sri Vaadiraajaru, is a highly meritorious hymn containing 112 verses describes Goddess Lakshmi's marriage to Lord Sri Hari when she emerged out from Ksheera Saagara (ocean of milk). It is believed to enhance the marriage prospects for the unmarried and bestow upon the unmarried girls the fortune of a good husband with long and happy married life. It is also believed that “Parayana” of this hymn will bring in peace, prosperity and auspiciousness at the home/place where it is recited and listened.
'Lakshmi Shobane Parayana and Lakshmi Puja by 3333 Sumangili sthreeyaru is being organized on this occasion. Sumangali sthreeyaru who desire to participate in the Parayana Programme are requested to give their Names to Smt. Swathi Madhusudana before 15th June 2015.
‘Bhajana’ Dasarapada's are Stotras composed by our great Sages and Saints in the
Prakruta Bhasha (or regional language) ‐ just like the Stotras in Sanskrit. Thus offering praise by reciting the words of the divine composers that reveal the glories of Sri Hari and Gurugalu, undoubtedly bestows great punya. Hence Bhajana by Bhajana Mandalis.
BrahmanaPooja: Lord Sri Hari is to be worshipped in various Adhistanas (abodes) like Saligrama, Agni, Surya, Water, idol etc. Worshipping Him in living beings is considered better. That too, worshipping Him in human beings, Brahmanas, Pandits are considered increasingly superior. Contemplating the the 72,000 forms of the Lord (which are present in a Brahmana and extolled in the Bruhati Sahasra Mantras) while performing Brahmana Pooja is considered very special and rewarding. Hence in Adhika Masa, Pooja to Lord Sri Hari in learned Brahmanas.
Deepotsava&LakshaArchana: Performing Archana to Lord Sri Hari provides one with plenty of food and bestows honours as well.
One who Lights a lamp in front of Lord surely begets Gnana, and good children. In this Adhika Masa, Laksha Pushpa Archana as well as Deepotsava by lighting one Lakh Deepas are being performed.
