October Neighborhood Clean-Up!

Little Lending Libraries are up in Adair Park!

You may have noticed new little libraries going up in our parks.

These libraries have been decorated, installed, and filled with

books by neighbors and friends.

The libraries belong to everybody,

and we hope you will use them to

find new books, share some of

your old favorites, or borrow a

book for a rainy day. Anyone is

welcome to take a book home or

leave a book.

We want all neighbors to know

how important these libraries are

and respect them as community assets. Unfortunately the little library in Bonnie Brae was removed due to

vandalism, and will have to have major repairs. If you are able to help, please contact Friends of Adair Park

at secretary@adairpark.com. Moving forward we ask all neighbors to please treat the libraries gently.

Thanks, and Happy Reading Neighbors!

With the Fall Festival right around the corner, Adairians will be meeting on Saturday morning, October 17th, from 9-12 for a neighborhood clean-up! Meet at 8:30 to form teams at the small playground pavilion (API: Catherine & Lexington).

Ciderfest is coming back to Adair Park this year! Come help make fresh apple cider, play games, listen to live

music, make a t-shirt, and enjoy the coming of autumn. This informal party is open to the whole family. The

event is free, but bring $10 if you want to buy a t-shirt. For more information, visit: http://www.concrete-

jungle.org/ciderfest. Oct 17th - Noon - 7pm, Angel's House - 746 Lexington Ave.

Call today for an estimate to find out how we can help with your plumbing needs. Call Chris Zachery at 678-760-6725.

Save-the-Date: November 7 NPU-V Community Forum! THE STATE OF NPU-V - SHARE, LIKE, AND FOLLOW: In the spirit of a "State of the Union" address, NPU-V

President, Stephanie Flowers, will provide data & perspectives of the NPU-V. We will then move into

neighborhood specific caucuses to pinpoint respective issues. Hot breakfast and lunch will be served.

More to come!

Grants, up to $5,000, are available to IRS-registered

501c designated organizations, like Adair Park

Today, that are using the power of volunteers to

improve the physical health of their community.

Grants are given in the form of The Home Depot gift

cards for the purchase of tools, materials, or

services. The Home Depot seeks to fund: Projects

that serve veterans and their families, whether

that’s repairing homes or improving facilities AND/

OR Projects that involve veterans volunteering to

help other veterans in the communities where they

live. If you have an idea for a project serving

veterans in Adair Park along these lines, contact
