Caitlin Hawes – Stage ManagerCaitlin is excited to be stage managing for the very first time
with ACT! Having been interested in theater at a very youngage, she has been involved with many different shows, bothas part of the technical theater crew, and as an actress, sinceelementary school. Shows she has acted in include TheWizard of Oz (Munchkin #3),Mary Poppins (Mary Poppins),Oklahoma! (Ensemble/Soloist), High School Musical (SkaterDude/Thespian), and Cole Porter:What A Swell Party.Whileworking technical theater, she has been behind the scenes inAlice In Wonderland, Pete's Dragon, Titanic: The Musical,THE WIZ, A Chorus Line, Mr.AHS, and The Brighton BeachMemoirs. Caitlin would like to thank her family, friends, andfriends-who-are-family for their love and support.
Jennifer Armstrong – Assistant Director, EnsembleJennifer began dancing at 4 in her home state of PA. She
has performed in 10 productions of the Winton Show andThe Wiz with CCP. Jennifer is excited and honored to beperforming in the first production with ACT.While many ofJennifer s night are spent rehearsing, her days are spendchasing after her 3 kids, Drew, Lilly Mae and Catherine,blowing a whistle in the high school girls lacrosse fields asa referee and volunteering at Winchester Hospital.A heart-felt thanks to Trey, her husband of 14 years for all the sup-port!
Who’s WhoMark Gracy – Director, Mr. Ovington
Bitten by the theater bug early in childhood,Mark has been performing from an early age in musical,improvisational and non-musical theater Some of hisfavorite roles include Julian Marsh in 42nd Street,Sky Masterson and Benny South Street in Guys and Dolls,the Wizard in The Wiz, John the Baptist/Judas in Godspell,Jonathan Brewster in Arsenic and Old Lace.
Mark has directed and produced for several theater companies and most recently directed and produced Act’sThe Wiz.When not performing, Mark is top producing realestate agent in the Andovers.
Elizabeth Kennedy – ChoreographerBeth has been dancing for many years and performs all
styles of dance from jazz and tap to ballet and modern. Bethcontinues to study tap, jazz, and ballet and performs through-out the Boston area. She has professionally taught dance tostudents from ages two through adult, and choreographs reg-ularly for several youth theater organizations. She hasreceived awards and nominations from EMACT recognizingboth her choreography as well as dancers for whom she haschoreographed. Her recent productions include: Once OnThis Island, Anything Goes and The Jungle Book Kids. In her“other” life she is the technology resource teacher at SouthElementary School in Andover and the recipient of thePathfinder Award for leadership in technology education.
Michael Gallaghan – Music DirectorA Junior at Boston University, Mike studies Music
Education and has been teaching music in camps andschools for three years. In the past two years Mike has musi-cally directed and assistant musically directed over fiveshows including The Wiz, Big: The Musical, and You’re aGood Man Charlie Brown.
Jen Bouchard – Book VoiceJen is making her return performance on stage with ACT, after
Spotlight on Broadway. She also was a member of the stage crew forThe Wiz.
When not on stage, Jen runs a business fixing people’s computers,andis also employed as an analyst for a biotech company.
Holly Carman Miss KrumholtzHolly is returning to the stage after appearing in The Wiz with ACT
Andover. Holly has also enjoyed working with the Colonial ChorusPlayers, playing Andrea in Once on this Island.
Holly is a full-time legal assistant at a law firm and is also a realtorworking with Moore-Tuttle in North Andover. She would like to thankher family, friends and wonderful husband,Al, for all their love and sup-port.
Jamie Cook – SmittyJamie, a senior at Burlington High, is pleased to be making her 2nd
appearance with ACT. Prior to Cole Porter, Jamie performed in showssuch as The Sound of Music (Marta von Trapp), Fiddler on the Roof(Shprintze),The HMS Pinnafore (Buttercup),Anything Goes,Footloose,Fame (Ms. Sherman), Les Miserable, Thoroughly Modern Millie (Muzzyvan Hossmere) and The Wiz. Jamie Plans to attend Hofstra University inthe Fall.
Jamie would like to send one final thanks to her friends and familywho supported her after long rehearsals.Thanks for everything!
Amy Danziger – EnsembleAmy is thrilled to be making her stage debut in How to Succeed!
Although new to acting, Amy is no stranger to performing, having beenactive in both the chorus and band during high school and college.Currently, she is a competitive West Coast Swing dancer, and travels tocompetitions around New England and other parts of the country.
When not dancing,Amy is a software engineer at a scientific instrumen-tation company. Amy has thoroughly enjoyed participating in H2$, andhopes to have more opportunities with ACT in the future. She would liketo thank her parents and Steve for their support and encouragement.
Peter Anton – JenkinsPeter made his return to the stage after a 15 year hiatus in ACT’s Cole
Porter Review What A Swell Party This Is! His past roles included TheChorus Leader in Agamemnon and A Clown in Jack Neary’s Draw.
Peter sings with The Middlesex Singers and performs ambidextroustap guitar throughout the New England folk music circuit.His debut CD,Lullabies and Lamentations, will be released this year.
Peter thanks both Mary and Susan for all the help to make this possi-ble, and especially Yelaina and Emily for egging him on and showing himhow to do some of the dance moves.
Tom Aylward – PetersonTom is a Corporate Sales Consultant and is having a terrific time
preparing to perform in his first musical play.Tommy loves music andhas sung with choral groups in grade school,high school and college.Hehas been a member of the St Augustine Choir in Andover for the past fif-teen years.
Tom would like to thank Beth Kennedy and the entire cast for theirwarm welcome. He believes that ACT of Andover is a tremendous organ-ization that is providing wonderful entertainment for the local commu-nities and he is proud to be one of their newest members.
Sara Blegstad – TackaberryThis is Sara’s 2nd production with ACT, having also appeared in
Spotlight on Broadway. Sara got involved with musical theatre in 2001and appeared in shows with the Pentucket Players, Nashoba Players,Belmont Dramatic Club,TNT & Winton. She was a member & served onthe Executive Board for the New England Classical Singers.
Sara would like to thank everyone at ACT for the opportunity to bepart of the group again. She would also like to thank her friends andfamily for their continued support by coming to her shows.
Eric Bouchard – EnsembleEric learned singing at a young age. His grandmother taught music in
the APS system for fourteen years and his mother started singing whenshe was eight. Even his grandfather and dad have sung in musicals withEric.
This is Eric’s first musical with ACT. Eric insists, he “can't blame it allon my Mom that I'm in this production. I just love the lyrics from thisshow.”
Eric has performed in five nusicals and worked back stage for severalmore. His favorite role was Randolph MacAphee from Bye Bye Birdie.
Katie Alexander – Dance Captain, Featured DancerThis is Katie’s third production with ACT, after Spotlight on
Broadway and The Wiz. Other favorite performances include, MyFavorite Year (Tess) with Colonial Chorus, Anything Goes withQuannapowitt Players, and 42nd Street with Mystic Players. She alsostudies many forms of dance and is a member of the Carilloneers hand-bell choir.
In real life, Katie works as an accountant for a medical supply distrib-utor.
Wende Ann Donahue – RosemaryAfter making her first stage appearance in 15 years this past summer
with ACT in Spotlight on Broadway,Wende is thrilled to be on stage forACT again. Last seen in ACT’s What A Swell Party This Is, Wende alsoappeared in ACT’s Fall production of The Wiz as Glinda.
Wende spends most of her time hiding behind her conducting baton as director of The Middlesex Singers chamber chorusand teaching voice lessons privately out of her home, at Johnson Musicin Dracut, and at Dracut High School. Wende would like to thank herDad and brother for all their support.
Paris Kiely – BrattThese performances are devoted tributes to my mom,Emma Fried,mirac-
ulously in the audience 7 months after a massive stroke.Thank you for work-ing so hard to be here with me! Paris wrote and performed her one-womanmusical The Love Experts in NYC. Paris originated the role of Gail inAnthony Minghella's Cigarettes and Chocolate in NY,Berlin & Vienna.Sinceliving in MA she has played Magenta in The Rocky Horror Picture Show andSonia in Godspell. Paris is grateful to Michael Lally for the opportunity tosing with The SRO Players of Lowell, without which I would not have theconfidence to sing in parts - so far, soprano, alto and now TENOR!!!QUATE.
Kay Levesque – TV AnnouncerAfter spending more than 10 years on the “other side” of productions
as director and/or choreographer for several middle school theatergroups, Kay (“Ms. Levesque” to her students) was thrilled return to thestage as Addaperle in our recent production of The Wiz. She is always onthe go juggling many commitments and activities including teaching 7thgrade science, sitting on several committees in the school district andcatering in her spare time.
Thanks especially to Steve and Erica for helping to juggle home,school, and rehearsals.
Jan McTeague – Featured DancerJan has been active in community theater in the Greater Lowell area
for many years, as both a performer & choreographer. Some of herfavorite roles include Alice Miller in My Favorite Year and Alma Hix inThe Music Man. She has performed as a Kit Kat Klub girl in Cabaret,dancer/ensemble in Working, Virtue in Anything Goes, dancer/ensem-ble in Once On This Island, and Lady Brighton in Me and My Girl, all forCCP. She has also appeared as Bubbles in Funny Girl for PentucketPlayers. Recent choreography credits include Beauty and the Beast andGrease for Maynard High, Joseph and Cinderella for CCP.
Fred Gallagher – WomperThis is Fred's first show with ACT.He has recently–very recently–played Frank Butler in CCP's Annie Get
Your Gun. Other favorite roles include Harold Hill in the Music Man,Gerald in Me & My Girl and Pharoah / Issachar in Joseph and TheAmazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
When he is not performing on stage, or building sets you can catchhim singing with choral groups throughout the Merrimack Valley.
Bobby Hawes – Bud FrumpBobby is super stoked to be in his first production with ACT.Bobby says he has been acting since the day he was born.You might recognize him from his roles such as Cornelius Hackl in
Hello Dolly, Greg in A Chorus Line, and Henry Higgins in My Fair Lady.
Susan Hawes – Miss JonesSusan Hawes performed as a Hotbox Dancer in Guys and Dolls so
long ago cell phones had not been invented. This is her third perform-ance with ACT Andover, following her wonderful portrayal of Aunt Em inThe Wiz and featured solos in What a Swell Party This Is. Susan has beenco-directing a choir at St.Augustine's in Andover, or cantering and play-ing for masses there.
She thanks the ACT Andover team for a wonderful opportunity and afun experience, and thanks her two great kids and her two wonderfulparents for their patience and loving support.
Liz Healey – Scrubwoman 1A graduate of The Boston Conservatory, Elizabeth is thrilled to be
appearing in her Act Andover debut with such a talented cast. Elizabethhas appeared on stage with Colonial Chorus Players in several produc-tions, including Me and My Girl (Sallly Smith) and Anything Goes (RenoSweeney). She has also appeared with The Burlington Players in theirproduction of City of Angels (Angel City Quartet).
Elizabeth wishes to thank her friends and family especially her hus-band Jason, for all of their love and support.
Glenn Kane – J. B. BiggleyGlenn is excited to be performing in his first show for ACT. He has
been seen acting in the Boston Area for over 15 years. Glenn has per-formed at King Richard’s Faire and in Joey and Maria’s Wedding andReunion. His favorite roles include Herbie in Gypsy, Heinzy in PajamaGame, and the Emcee in Chicago.Glenn has also appeared in the featurefilms Fever Pitch,Gone Baby Gone,27 Dresses,The Great Debaters andShowtimes Brotherhood. Glenn is a middle school teacher inSwampscott where he has directed over 20 productions, is a proud mem-ber of SAG and would like to thank his wife for all her love and support.
Charles D Gracy – Producer, J. Pierrepont FinchCharles began performing at a very early age. As a Junior in high
school he played Daddy Warbucks in Annie. Charles left home for Bardcollege in NY as a drama/dance major. He was involved in many produc-tions during that time.After a hiatus from “showbiz,”Charles returned tothe stage in local Community Theater and has worked in and around theBoston area.
Some of his favorite roles include Lion in The Wiz,Joseph in Joseph, Jesus in GodSpell, Billy Lawler in 42nd St, Riff in WestSide Story and Paul in Chorus Line.
Connie Fogg-Bouchard – EnsembleThis is Connie’s first performance with ACT and she is eager for the
performance to begin. With twenty-something years of community the-atre to draw from, musicals are Connie’s favorite. Her favorite rolesinclude Golde from Fiddler On The Roof and Lucy from You’re a GoodMan, Charlie Brown. Connie is a retired pre-school teacher who nowdesigns and creates jewelry at home, watches her son grow up too fast,loves my supportive husband dearly, and plays lion-tamer to two sleep-ing cats.
Ally Viera – Featured DancerThis is Ally’s debut performance with ACT Andover. She appeared
most recently as Rosie in Sweet Charity (Colonial Chorus Players), andher favorite roles were in Ragtime (Footlight Club), and Our Town(Newton Country Players).
Ally is an English teacher at Georgetown High School, and recentlydirected their production of Bye Bye Birdie. She is so thankful for thelove and support of her husband Marc, her friends and family, andClarence the cat.
Angela Nice – Scrubwoman 2Angela Nice is delighted to do her fourth show with ACT. Angela cur-
rently is a music director/soloist for St Mary Church and a member ofthe Middlesex Singers. She has performed in many Cabaret style showsaround Massachusetts, she enjoys singing and playing keyboards for dif-ferent events and enjoys writing music in her spare time.
Many Thanks go out to her family and friends who always give her alot of support and encouragement when she is on stage performing.
Amanda Potts – HedyThis is Amanda’s first production with ACT and is very excited! She is
a recent graduate of The University of Connecticut Vocal Program whereshe studied classical voice under Rebecca Grimes.While at UConn shewas a part of the Women’s, Festival and Select Choir as well as theMarching Band. Back in Massachusetts,Amanda now works behind thescenes as a Music teacher in Burlington, teaching everything from general music to band and voice. Amanda would like to thank her family for dealing with her insane schedule this year and their supportas well as ACT for welcoming her so kindly!
Mark Puorro – DavisThis is Mark's first stage performance. He is thrilled and excited to be
working with ACT Andover on his entrance to the theater community.Mark recently retired from the finance industry after 20 years and has
been volunteering at the MSCPA before beginning his second career.Mark would like to thank the wonderful cast and crew of ACT
Andover for their patience and support.
Tim Sipsey – Mr. TwimbleThis is Tim's third show with ACT Andover. In 1984,he made his debut
as Conrad Birdie in Methuen High School's production of Bye ByeBirdie.After a 24 year hiatus, he returned to the stage in ACT Andover'sproductions of The Wiz and Cole Porter:What a Swell Party!
By day, he is a software engineer at Aspect in Chelmsford.As for othermusical activities, he is a member of the Middlesex Singers and is a partof the local songwriter community on www.juicerocks.com.Tim wouldlike to thank ACT Andover for giving him the honor and privilege of playing it the company way with so many amazingly talented people.
Lynda Tracy – Featured DancerLynda Tracy is the Artistic Director of The Studio of Dance Arts in
Methuen, and a member of Dance Masters of America and the DanceTeachers’ Club of Boston. A professional dancer, Lynda has performedthroughout New England and New York on stage and television. Herwork as a dancer/choreographer includes 42nd Street, Follies, AnythingGoes, Kiss Me, Kate!, The Wiz, Guys and Dolls, and Oklahoma! H2$marks Lynda’s ACT debut, and her 20th musical theatre appearance insix years! Love to my Lissy,Tia & Toi.
