• Squamish Terminals is a deep-water, break-bulk terminal located on a 24 hectare (60 acre) site at the north end of Howe Sound – just 32 nautical miles north of the Port of Vancouver (48 kilometers or 30 miles via Highway 99).

• With an intermodal transportation infrastructure (including

access to rail, ocean and truck), 2 berths, 3 warehouses, specialized handling equipment and an experienced team, Squamish Terminals efficiently handles cargo bound for North America and around the world.

• Squamish Terminals is owned by Grieg Star Shipping AS (based in Bergen, Norway).

• Squamish Terminals is a public terminal; open to all major break-bulk shipping lines providing our customers with access to markets worldwide.

• Squamish Terminals is serviced by CN Rail connecting to markets in British Columbia and Alberta, across Canada and into the United States. Shippers have access to all other major transcontinental railways.

• A significant amount of cargo arrives and departs our site via truck. Squamish Terminals has strong working relationships with various trucking companies to facilitate effective movement of break-bulk shipments.

Squamish Terminals - Warehouses

All three warehouses provide direct rail access, covered loading aprons, and are equipped with fire protection and polished concrete floors for optimum cargo cleanliness. A significant amount of laydown area / outside storage is also available.

Squamish Terminals - Equipment

• Squamish Terminals has a modern, low emission fleet of cargo handling equipment, which is upgraded regularly.

• Over 50 pieces of specialized equipment on site with lift truck capacities up to 20,000kg (45,000lbs) and trailer capacities up to 75,000kg (165,000lbs).

• Specialized maintenance center for servicing and repairing of all terminal equipment.

• Additional equipment available by request.

• Squamish Terminals has maintained a registered Quality Program certification since 1994 and is registered to ISO 9001:2008 which represents our commitment to a high standard of service, cargo care, efficiency and customer satisfaction.

• Squamish Terminals operates a state of the art terminal operating system that effectively tracks cargo en route to final destination. Our award winning inventory management system tracks cargo from notification of shipping through inbound transportation, delivery and storage, to outbound loading to ship, rail or truck.
